Was that when Tad supposedly had the wacky new personality after being shot in the head?

If they want to show us why Tad hates David you'd think they could just bring up the Krystal stuff. I don't want to hear about Dixie, especially since it was only a few months before Dixie/David started when Tad was hounding Dixie into a miscarriage.

Great cliffhanger - loved how they all perfectly took their places in front of the door looking shocked as hell. Can't wait to see Hayley!!!

The helicopter/Emma/Opal thing was random though --- I assume something is still going to happen to Emma...or was that it? And if that WAS it, then Opal needs to calm the fuc-k down bc she wasn't really in danger. Knowing that Lucy M. is not going to LA, I was expecting Emma to die or something. Do we know her real fate yet....are they recasting??

I think that the newest Colby is okay. I think that she's better than BM, Colby, at least she acts like actually cares about Adam.

I love Adam but I feel like he acts like Annie's sugardaddy. I do not like these two together, and I do not like Annie. I hope that this couple ends as soon as possible.

IMO, Ryan and Erica are better of as friends, than a romantic pairing. I hope we don't get a long drawn out triangle with those two once Greenlee goes back to PV. I think that Ryah should be single for a while, and Greenlee could be paired with maybe David or Jake.

I am glad that Hayley's back, I look forward to seeing her interact with Adam and her family.

Am I wrong, or haven't they made "Raising Kane: the Movie" already?

OTOH, as I've said before, Erica is never more "Erica" than when she has someone to spar against. Women like Brooke, Barbara and Natalie bring out the best (and worst) in La Kane. Now that AMC is in L.A., though, one thing I'd do is hire someone like Meg Bennett (ex-Julia, Y&R; ex-Liza, SEARCH FOR TOMORROW) or Brenda Dickson (Jill #1, Y&R) to join the show as Erica's newest nemesis. Someone, perhaps, whom Erica has known and hated since their days together in the modeling industry way the hell back in the Seventies.

Yeah, Syddy's infamous go-go boots. I've always chosen not to believe that nutty buddy Molly offed her. But at any rate, Erica needs to tangle with women of her own age and station. And who better than the quintessential '80s soap bitch for hire??

    • This is (maybe) overly simplistic and nonsoapy, but Doug needs to go to Gamblers Anonymous, to deal with the addictive neurological excitement hits that gambling gives him - and which control his life. Vanessa needs to go to therapy to find ways to remain healthfully lusty and sex-positive, but to stay away from anyone who would demean her.
    • YT keeps commending GL clips to me. I discovered Kathleen Cullen was on in Christmas 1987. Was there any talk of making it permanent  or was this just a special visit? I wish they had made the visit permanent. I liked her chemistry with Grant Aleksander.
    • I'm not sure it's as unpopular as you think.  I just think the show knew they were in a bind, and needed a proven couple for the viewers to invest in. Trying to reunite Vanessa and Ross had just failed in 87. I don't think Ed and Holly's affair was well received, as Simon and Garrett had a brother/sister chemistry. Enter Billy and Vanessa, who give you history and an out not to try and do a Josh/Reva/Billy triangle, which would've really wrecked the relationship between Josh and Billy. I'd have been ok with trying Vanessa/Ross again, and doing a Vanessa/Ross/Holly/Billy quad for a while. I hated Nadine. HATED. She had to be the most insufferable also-ran before ATWT's Julia Lindsay. This is where I wish I knew Roger's history better.

    • GROSS. Michael Swan was hot back in his ATWT days. Now he's 76 and WAY past his hot years.
    • Since she kidnapped, locked up and tried to kill her father's wife I'd say that is still a pretty big deal
    • I'm good with the gushing, too. There aren't many soap icons like John Black, and that's important to celebrate and remember. And yes, life does go on for other characters, but as they say, timing is everything. Going sky diving the day before the funeral? And during a week of shows that were so powerful emotionally? No.
    • No. There might have been a slight pause for dramatic effect after his "death," but pretty soon after they showed him in France getting plastic surgery and getting involved with his doctor, then planning with her to bring Christina to France. (She thought he had good reason to do it; she wasn't a bad person or anything). Now that I think of it, there must have been some kind of pause before that, during the 70s. Rita was accused of killing a private patient for an inheritance when she lived in Texas. Part of the backstory was that Roger had been there, too. Not sure exactly when or how long that was.
    • I've already stated that I don't like Doug being written as this meek and submissive. It was so lame watching him leave her like that. Vanessa can divorce him, but she then needs to get her thot ass into therapy. She's not only having sex with every guy she runs into, but is now having  sex with a skeevy perv on a poker table. I'm going to give the BTG some credit here. For months, many on this board were delighting in the Vanessa/Joey flirting and what they saw as chemistry. I think we're now seeing what the writers always intended -- that Joey is a disgusting POS wannabe mobster.
