    Why would Phyllis ever blackmail anyone after being sent to Jail for it?

    Or more important, why would Maria (who prides herself on respecting history) actually have to go back and learn about the characters' past? Besides, even if she knew about it, it's important for her new story to disrespect the past, so she just did it. Because she can. And because she thinks we're little dummies hungering for her denial kick.

    The arrogance of the people who write Y&R and the contempt most of them have for the show, its fans, and the soap opera genre overall is astounding.

    Part of the reason these soaps deserve cancellation is to put all these hacks out of a job that have no respect for the creative entity they're supposed to protect.
