Good for Nelson for calling Van out on his terrible acting. He truly has been phoning it in. What's up with that. Is Van as bored with Jake as most of us are?

LOL..you should see Van's board. They are praising Van's work as Emmy worth stuff..LMAO.

Frankly, I don't give a [!@#$%^&*] if I sound like a snob, but most TV viewers wouldn't know good acting if it bit them in the ass. It pisses me off to see fanboys/girls give unwarranted praise. Rent a Geraldine Page movie and get back to me on good acting, love your favorite actors all you want, but don't confuse your adoration or charisma with great acting, they are NOT the same thing... educate yourselves.

I think Jake's performance has been understated but solid. Call me crazy, but I think the blind item about the closeted actor is about the guys from ATWT. Maybe Jake is jealous of Van's promiscuity? I can't think of why he would be.

Ah yes I can see it now...Silbermann being upset over Van Hansis and his boyfriend having a threesome with Billy Magnussen....

Please, let's not stop there. We know Nelsie's delusional. It's Cameron Mathison upset that his boyfriend Aiden Turner and his boyfriend David Fumero is having sex with both Brett Claywell and Scott Evans. Because all of them gay, you know. All of them. Every single one of them. They're just closeted. And I know this because I have sources. And my sources know everything.

How pathetic. She makes a great point here about AMC's baby rabies and Nelson not only uses it to pimp his beloved OLTL but he just out and out lies by calling them non-sexist.

I suspect AMC's procreation fixation drove away a lot of people.

Well said--Nelson's agenda of hating AMC is getting old (he didn't like it pre Pratt either and has admitted he never grew up with it unlike his fave shows) and I totally agree. And as you say, Hoffman is dead on, AMC has had, for way too long, an obsession with BABIES that I find off putting and frankly boring.

It is annoying, but so many soaps do this now it's hard to get away from it. Then I think about Ryan's Hope and they had maybe 4 babies during the shows entire run? It's so much more pleasant to watch adults going about there business instead of watching every single woman have 3 or 4 babies each.

Especially since soaps are so ill equipped to deal realistically with raising babies or small kids. So the characters agonize endlessly about their baby being missing, or trying to have one, or who the dad is, and then as soon as they finally get them or they're born they're sent off with the nanny, or to eat endless helpings of Lucretia's cookies.

Oh, trust me, I'm not defending GEN or anything. I've only seen the first episode. But my point is that, as someone who claims to be so in-the-know with soaps and the industry and everything, Nelson's bitchass should know and understand that GEN wasn't supposed to be an "all-black" soap. It was a soap with a major black family and a major white family, and the point was to show how their lives were connected. But Nelson, like any random person from any soap board, just labels it the "all-black" soap when it was not.

And then he has the audacity to say that that should be beneficial to Jesse and Angie. As if SSM possesses a special skill that allows her to write for black characters that few other writers have.

Again this just shows how little he knows about AMC or likes it--none of his suggestions for new writers was really a good fit for AMC imho...
