I think it just shows they don't care very much about Chance. Chance is there to prop Chloe. If he comes across as weak or useless, then that may just fit into their long-range plans for Chloe/Billy.

I'm a few epis behind but got to see the stupid stabbing and the even stupider Lame. I was literally screaming at the tv, no one plans to have a baby when they might very well leave it motherless. Real women wait until remission. It actually makes me wonder if maybe they are going to actually kill off Lily and leave Cane and Mac as parents to the next generation of the Winters. Although they are trying to appear improved this show is going to hell in a handbasket!!
