I think we mean powerless in terms of her influence over the stories. I think she makes suggestions, yes, but there's no way her best buds Robin Christopher, Rick Hearst, John Bolger, etc. wouldn't have a lead story if JFP had some kind of control over stories.

Word.

You know the FOJ's would be a lot more prominent on GH if Jill had a substantial say over the storylines.

They could have kept GV if they wanted. All they needed to do was make him an impostor.

JJ's return may be the best way to undo some of the damage they've done with the character of Lucky. It would probably work best if they went the impostor route to wipe that whole slate clean.

How successful this is mainly rests on their ability to write Lucky as the integral character he was once upon a time. They seemed to have missed the opportunity to have Nikolas go to the dark Cassadine side (which was why I thought they brought TC back and let SM(SC) go). Now they should introduce a younger Cassadine villain who works with Helena so that Lucky can have a worthy adversary and Luke and Helena can still do whatever they do.

IA that in order to accomodate a good feud, they need to trim down the mob air time.

From the print issue of TV Guide, IMOW:

According to TV Guide, Vaughan wanted ABC to spin his exit so that it would appear to be his decision. Once ABC issued a statement about leaving to explore new opportunities, GV went on twitter and stated he was fired, making it seem like a cover up by ABC was going on.

Michael Logan was full of sh!t in that TV Guide article. We found that GV was fired when he announced it on Twitter first and then ABC released its statement. Logan must be desperate to get an in with GH and compete with Branco. He was really licking ABC's butt on this one.
