I always wanted Nola to find that letter (the letter from hell that keeps turning up...) maybe going through Mo's old stuff to donate and finds it in that sweater, and there is ANOTHER face off with Lillian in the Bauer kitchen...."Don't think that I will be driving off any roads anytime soon, I will be around to make your life a living hell from now on!"

Oh,. what a totally delightful idea!!!!!

Interesting!

(Parker's version is better, LOL).

Would you happen to know if Peter and Courtney were still married at the time?

It would seem to me JUST a tad awkward if she was writing a breakup scene for him of this magnitude if they were no longer together.

Were then still together & are still now, recently celebrated 50 years on their anniversary. I saw her post!!!

But, I gotta say love your awkward, ugh, concept!!! And, you are right.

OMG! My eyes! I'm only barely awake & immediately the spirit of one of the worst things that ConWest visited upon us is staring me in the face! I'm gonna need to go back to bed & get up all over again & hope this was just a very bad dream.

LOL! Is it that bad? I'm inquiring about it only because people keep comparing it to Martin's secret on BTG.

@P.J. Thank you!

Given that's it's 2003, probably. It begins October 17, 2003, if you're looking for a start date.

Guiding Light Mindy--- You Not My Daughter - YouTube

I have complained, repeatedly, about that embarrassing scene with Geoffrey Scott's Billy storming over the table, but this clip with Billy and Roger is one of the reasons why. The scene is burned into my brain. Roger was tough, fed-trained, wiry, but Billy was just raw anger - an unstoppable tank.

I'm sorry at how they never even mentioned Hamp passing or had Billy remember him later on.

Until I rewatched, I had never realized how violent Billy could be. There are three times when he's truly scary---throwing Reva out of HB's house when he catches her and Josh, this one, and when he goes after Jack Kiley after the hung jury in Vanessa's case. Jordan gets this eerie blank look on his face and he plays it like Billy is lost in rage. And physically, he's just so much more imposing than most men on the show.

How lovely! I watched them when they acted together on SFT back in the 70s. So nice to know they are still together.

No problem. For some reason, I kind of stumbled on the particulars of the story just before you asked. So--serendipity. Some day, we'll have to discuss how it trashed the established history of Billy/Josh/Buzz/Alan and Ed...but it is truly a coincidence that most of the men have daughters/granddaughters whose names start with M.

It is a weird coincidence.

This is an interesting scene to sit through, because on one level I don't quite believe it, but I also appreciate the effort made to not just have women hurling abuse at each other, no matter how much honey Beverlee could put on her venom. This is the type of nuance which was missing in her last few years as Alex.

I also appreciated this, which gives us a glimpse of businesswoman Vanessa, which I always wanted to see more of in later years (NOT sitting at the office looking at plastic surgery brochures).

'I'm sure this time it's forever' Alexandra Spaulding's final comment while giving Reva wells wishes on the latest marriage of Reva's.

That conversation was one of the last times the two had a conversation with the two sharing stuff about their lives.... with Reva confirming Josh isn't the father of Dylan, that she's having a boy... while Alexandra confides in Reva about Phillip and he being in a mental hospital after trying to dig up Beth's grave.

I liked Reva's reaction because she had history with Phillip and to a lesser extent Beth... and there was mention of Lujack and how similar Lujack was to Dylan.

I miss scenes like this on soaps.

Count me as someone who thinks Parker's version of the line is better.

From what we know of JFP, she has no regard for history so I can't imagine she even considered treating Maureen's death with a reverence for past relationships and connections.

Well, it is almost universally hated by fans who watched it in real time. To me it definitely IS THAT BAD! I wish I knew if it really relates to BTG. I certainly hope not. There are so many reasons. Worst, probably is that they tainted the histories of 5 veterans, guys, who did not deserve to have their reputations sullied in such an awful way. Least, is probably that they did it mostly to give a job to a friend, Carrie Nye. You have to remember that John Conboy & Ellen Weston were IMO the first nails in the coffin of GL. The Maryanne Carruthers storyline is one of the worst examples of exec/HW excesses & not in support of good storytelling. It was awful.

Very true. When that was posted, I rolled my eyes. NO WAY, no how, was JFP down for anything remotely like that.

LOL, I'm not the only one who noticed that! Mara, Marina, Michelle...like it was coordinated!

I've only seen that storyline in bits and pieces. Always wanted to see the flashbacks just to see the actors they picked as their younger versions but still haven't found them.

Plus, Billy's Melinda Sue, even though she's not in town.

I didn't think they used younger actors in the flashbacks. But I haven't seen it since it aired.

I just read on FB that the Blake Marler channel was taken down.

SUCKS!

There's a very good reason why I'm not invested on YT anymore & instead am on another video hosting site. They took me down twice in 10 months. Why? Ancient DAYS clips. Not current, not even close to current, very old & not full episodes, clips, edits.

So that's Jim Muneco and Blake Marler down within a few weeks. 😭

If they take down Spauldingfield, I will scream.

They have stuff that's been on there for almost 20 years, what's the deal?

If I was a conspiracy theorist, I would be speculating CBS/P&G are getting ready to either put out more DVDs or are planning a streaming network like SoapNet.

We couldn't be THAT lucky, right?

Oooh, I'd love to see those. Can you link, or is it private?
