Y&R: If you're going to raise the dead...

... then you should have brought John Abbott back instead. He faked his death to get away from Gloria!! (because he's gay). Also, as I said in the other thread, CKLily and Tammin Sursok could be nixed by simply having Davetta and Adrianne come back as the REAL Lily and Colleen because they sent imposters to their families so they could live the lesbian life. It actually really nicely mirrors the Australian thing Cane has going on. Symmetry. Nice. Also Dru faked her death because she's gay, and sent Neil Karen.

OK come on if it's going to be stupid we may as well use it to get characters we want to see! Let's suspend disbelief and call up that necromancer!

Who else do you want to come back from the dead, while we're at it (the catch is they have to have faked their death because they were gay. Then it's alll good!)

Phillip Chancellor II faked his death because he was gay. He never could get it up for Katherine, and Jill was just one last fling to try to convince himself he was straight. When he knew that wasn't going to work out, he faked his death after the car crash with Katherine. He tried many jobs, including being a con artist who lived with the Tates (Jodie Tate's conversion to heterosexuality only convinced Phillip of how right he was to hate himself), and being a doctor on the spaceship Galactica. Finally he ended up working at the Star Wars Cantina, and has briefly returned to this timestream to inform his family of his whereabouts, and that he had sent Rex along to make Katherine happy.

Of course, he didn't realize that Rex was also gay and also faked his death...

I love it! Also Marge faked her death because she's gay and wants to get with Katherine... who is torn between her own image (she does love herself) and Murphy, and a returned Phillip II and Rex because she thinks she can turn them from being gay.

What about the Murphy/Phillip/Phillip/Rafe quadrangle? Can you imagine the drama of father and son fighting over a man 25-50 years their junior?

When will we find out that Kitty faked her death because she was ashamed of her latent lesbian feelings for Mary Jane?

LMFAO with an 80 year old woman no less. JC would be up for another Emmy, and "Dear god in heaven," she could pull it off!!

Y&R should go for broke and outdo Passions... though I dont know how you can top a transgendered man having his own father's child.

Wow. Did you feel that...

...cause you just BLEW.MY.MIND

BAHAHAHAHAHA

That's why Phillip 3 came back... to find Doc Brown and his FluxCapicitor and go back in time to have his father impregnate him (with himself) instead of Jill, so that in the future Jill and Kay can be friends again (his way of making it up to them after faking his death) assuming that without the P2 stuff J&K would be friends forever. But then he goes too far in time, accidentally undoing the whole fabric of time and space... and so Nina never meets him and never wastes her time on such a LOSER and goes on to be very happy forever because she is the greatest!

This can be Daniel's next story. They are paving the way with his taste in shirts.

Oddly enough I can also see Cane with this story. He tends to make those faces a woman might make while giving birth.

Or Adam will summon the power of the black arts and transport his life essence into Ashley's womb, meaning that she will give birth after all -- to a baby who will, in a few weeks, grow up to be Adam. Things get confusing when AshleyBabyAdam meets RealAdam, and Rafe becomes very confused over which one he should shoot. Instead, he actually shoots and kills Abby. The entire town is plunged into mourning for about three minutes, before they realize they don't give a crap. Her wardrobe and estate are given to the producers of Gossip Girl.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
    • Agreed. The Emmys next year are gonna be a pretty tough competition and I hope we get a Days sweep lol  Not only does Deidre deserve a nomination for these last few weeks, but I also think Paul Telfer, Raven Bowens, Carson Boatman, Dan Feuerriegel and Alison Sweeney have good chances as well.
    • It’s not about a lack of faith and trust in MVJ, it’s about a a lack of faith and trust in Ron Carlivati, who I think can be very sneaky and manipulative when he wants to be.  And, all that “He’s just a breakdown writer” talk never changed my mind about anything, because at Days, it was “just a breakdown writer” that gave us some of the worst episodes I’ve ever seen.
