God, I hope they're as heartless as JFP and fire her ass.

This is a business, they need to put whatever feelings aside and do what's best for the show, and Victoria needs a better actress and better writing to succeed.

If it pisses Thad off, oh well, they can fire him too. not like JT is written for much anymore.

I don't think it fits into their plans for Victoria to be any more important than she is now, so I won't be surprised if they keep her in this small role.

Amelia might be leaving on her own. She had a toddler at home and a baby on the way. They may have come to terms on their own but are waiting to write Victoria as a full character again until the recast is in place.

Good question. And I wonder if Gina's leaving GL early have something to do with this "offer" from Y&R. I hope so - she would make a fan-tabulous Victoria if the writing is there.

I like Amelia and remember her as Steffy on Loving/The City. I even enjoyed her somewhat as Mia on AMC, but felt that the writers over there really did not have a direction or storyline in mind for Amelia or the character of Mia. I remember reading when she got the role of Victoria on Y&R and thinking "What the Heck." Amelia's acting has gone downhill since midway through AMC and even more so on Y&R. I guess I'm used to seeing a strong, firey, somewhat bitchy Victoria and LOVED Heather Tom in the role. Ameila's portrayal of Victoria leaves alot to be desired and even though I hate to see someone out of work, AH needs to go and pronto!!!! They could easily swap her and Tom in their respective roles on Y&R and B&B. I do think that LML had something to do with Tom not coming back after she left OLTL. As for Tognoni, I think she would also make an AWESOME Victoria recast and have also thought she would make an awesome Greenlee or Hayley recast on AMC if RB or KR is not available.

getting GT as Victoria has been my wish for YEARS - ever since shortly after AH joined the role. I pray to the soaps gods that if I get my wish and she's written well I'll eat all my vegetables PLUS swallow all the crap the writers feed me without saying a word lmao

Being a Huge Victoria Fan especially when she was first written for when she returned in 2005 she had some strong parts.

I would accept Gina Tognoni, she is a very good Actress or a similar looking Actress, I don't watch GL, but I have seen clips on 'youtube' and she has the look and dark hair, light eyes and she is strong enough to go toe-to-toe with Victor.

I do not feel HT fits the role especially anymore. I have tuned in on B&B to see Don for a few minutes here and there and she is way too young, besides I don't like her as Victoria and never did.

I read a rumor on another board that The lady that played Jessica on ATWT is coming to GC.

People always said that CKLily brought that Parisan Princess feel to Lily. While that wasn't the description they gave us.

Anyway I always thought CK would have been good teenage bi racial Bonnie since Bonnie had that tiara that one time. Besides that CK can pass for that lady daughter.

Could Tamara Tunie be a Dru recast? I'm going to say that rumor is probably false since she's on contract with NBC for SVU. Then again, she did ATWT and SVU at the same time. The difference there is that soaps often let their actors out to do guest spots, in this case it turned into much more. But would any show willingly allow an actor to jump to another network knowing it's for a contract role?

Back to Victoria...if they're going to recast, why keep featuring Heinle so much? This new major character Deacon was first introduced via Heinle. What if viewers see sparks between the two? They should let Vicki support her family and nothing more if she's gearing up for a transition.

I hope that's not even remotely true, Tamara Tunie is WRONG WRONG WRONG for Dru. On a similar note, a few years back on a theatre board an insider wrote a post about how TT continues to get inexplicably cast in project after project in New York. I can't really speak to her talent as I know her primarily from wooden, robotic L&O dialogue, but at any rate, she isn't a Dru. Vivica's a Dru, but of course she was already Stephanie. I'm willing to guess that Victoria is budsy with a lot of the big names that we'd naturally guess for a Dru recast who'd feel uncomfortable taking the part, I wouldn't be surprised if it went to a "newcomer", someone with a handful of guest credits.

^^As a different Character Tamara would be great she is a class act, but not as Dru.
