i love MTS but she needs to suck it up. PB, JC and EB know that they can't make their REDUCED salaries anywhere else but on Y&R. There's just no budget on any show for what they make.

Plus - if she played her cards right, she could negotiate for appearances on primetime shows. There's more value for her on Y&R than off.

Nope. Viva MTS! Those suckers always screw around with her. Let them get ZIMMA to try and play Nikki. See how well that ham goes.

Really? I don't watch AMC, but I thought they were doing good by that family, I always hear them mentioned and Debbi Morgan doggone got herself an Emmy nomination.

Did I say I blamed her for anything? My point was, they have an actress that they don't write for and they let her leave constantly to do outside projects, which hinders this storyline she's supposed to be in repeatedly.

Yet, Nikki has slowly been phased out for a year, even before MTS's contract trouble. They're so easy to let MTS go, yet they keep someone that is hardly on.

And that's supposed to be an excuse for why Y&R treats these characters so badly?

It's not blaming Tammin. It's the show keeping bad actresses instead of good ones. I'd cut Marcille-McClure-Sursok-Khalil-Rikaart-Frantz-Ford-O'Brien just to keep MTS.

Where did I say it was an excuse? It's the fact that every single writer seems to have a problem with this.

But you know it's bad when LML wrote more for the Winter's and considered them more of a main family than this current regime does.

and yes, LML sucks, no need to go into that again. But I love how some of us constantly rip her apart, yet excuse the mistakes of this regime.

TS is not on contract and Y&R is really a platform for her so she can get auditions and exposure so she launch her "big career". She's probably paid a tad higher than scale and gets paid when she's on an episode.

Another thing that hasn't been reported is how many of the crew were let go. They need money - and I'm glad they're doing what they can to still make the show look good. Still investing in sets, lights and sound. Their franchise fee was cut big time. Nobody in front or behind the camreas is making anywhere near what they used to.

    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?
    • This is the coldest early June in my life. It's like it's January.

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.

Newsom is a craven opportunist, but his comments today were exactly how better people need to handle Trump.
