Members JackPeyton
so are we talking phyliss with jack? I hated her the most during that era.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
When she came back in 2000, before and with Jack. You mean you didn't like the Phyllis that was coaching Brittany on how to seduce Billy? I liked pre-Nick Phyllis more than I ever liked what she became when she was with Nick. I went from loving the character, to hating her when she became a watered down mess with Nick.
Members JackPeyton
oh, i loved her during that time too. i started in like 2000 right around the time she came back and i loved her. then she got with jackass and i was all.. ugh. i loved that scene! and i like nick affair phyliss the best. but i sooo understand how you feel about what they have done to her. its pretty much how i felt about sami brady during hogans tenure when he decided she should be the show heroine. Members Y&RWorldTurner
The thing I liked about the Jack and Phyllis relationship was that Phyllis kept her fire and stayed true to who she was. She and Jack clashed liked hell, but they did love each other. She didn't have to hide who she really was with Jack, like she often does with Nick. Yes, Nick and Phyllis were great as an affair, I hated it when they became a legitimate couple and Phyllis was watered down. They only worked as an affair because of the forbidden nature of such a situation, when that's gone, so is everything interesting about their dynamic. I'm glad Phyllis has gotten her fire back and Michelle Stafford has started acting again. That's partly why I hope Nick and Phyllis are over for good now. Members JackPeyton
you are right about jack and phyliss, i will give them that, however i just always thought she deserved better. of course i was like 13 at the time and phyliss was my fave and i hated jack, and i can almost promise that if i went back and rewatched as a young adult and let the fancrazy go id love them, but i hate him soooooo much. They never should have been anything more than an affair. Because THAT was the dynamic they had. The emotions and the passions and everything that made them great was only because it was an affair and there is no way, no matter whos writing, to translate that into a happy couple, IMHO. Because it was raw and honest yet dirty and wrong. ITA about MS too. She became a lazy/board actress and i think a lot of that had to do with little to no direction, but whatever. i dont care. shes showing up and performing again and im happy. i hope she keeps it up. i just hate that Y&R feels they must go back to Sharon & Nick when both are not only more intersting apart the actors perform better away from eachother, IMHO. Plus, soooo many options. Nick could be a player and hook it up all over town for a bit. Amber would so be down. LOL. And Sharon works much better in the abott side than the newman side, IMHO. Members MarkH
The irony is that at this point I also feel Nick and Phyllis need to be apart. He's a donkey at this time, and there is benefit in his being alone and seeing all that he squandered. It is important to note that Phyllis had done oodles of transgressions herself. Indeed, Friday will bring . And there have been the schemes and manipulations for months. So, this is a marriage that seems to have run its course. But over for good? I don't believe the writers are that silly...there is much to be miled here. Just as there is for Nick and Sharon, and Jack and Phyllis. In the long run, there will be plenty of opportunity for Phick 2...and it could even be written from a healthier perspective in the next go-round. I also believe, in the 'destiny' of this show (as I have said many times) that Nick and Sharon are the endgame. I just think that Nick and Phyllis has been a really beautiful interlude. There is no doubt that--given the right material--Peter Bergman and Michelle Stafford sparkle in their scenes together. I will deeply regret if it leads to seeing more "sappy Jack". I hate that. Members Ann_SS
Y&R is doing the soap stable that I dislike the exchange of partners in a quad. Why does Jack have to have sex with Phyllis because Nick and Sharon are doing their dance? I would prefer to see Jack get further sucked into Mary Jane's web. Phyllis can confide in Michael and Lauren. Thinking about it without Nick, Phyllis is does not have a potential love interest on the canvas right now so maybe that is why Jack is stuck with her. Too bad they killed off Brad, he would be perfect for Phyllis. Michelle Stafford is another actress who will get squeezed contract wise.
Members MarkH
Unless B&B expands to an hour, it cannot absorb all these Y&R castoffs. Though I'd love love love love to see MTS go to B&B as a recast Beth Logan. Oh, man...........
Members classicmoment
Which makes me think of a point: If the next person approached is a her then they are going to look extremely bad. They need to consider how their approach will make them look

Members Cat
Adam listening in on Nick and Victor's conversation where Nick broke the news about Sharon's pregnancy -- "priceless." I loved their sparring conversation, too. Remember when Adam used to get Nick all riled up and he was reduced to shoving him around and calling him "boy"? I am so glad Ashley kicked Olivia out of the house. Olivia has been pushing Ashley-to-the-nuthouse route since she showed up on the ranch doorstep. I know she doesn't know that Ashley isn't nuts but everybody seems awful keen to get Ash locked into a padded cell before throwing away the key. Or perhaps their only concern is DA BABY? God forbid TGVN's radioactively strong sperm gets spilled needlessly. Good episode yesterday. Mainly because of Adam, Billy/Chloe and MJ -- and no Damber/Javin stuff. I am so over the Kevin = Love pimping. Second only to Gloria = Love in annoyance. BTW, it's about time somebody schooled Sharon. I'm glad it was Chloe. Everybody is all "Poor Sharon, it's not your fault you were a drunken, nick-nack-stealin slut who had unprotected sex with a bunch of dudes." I like Sharon but everybody has been putting this on other people's shoulders, especially Billy's (BTW, when is somebody going to do something about Billy's steadily serious drinking problem? He can't make it through a tough spot without downing ample quantities of booze). She shouldn't get a free pass. That being said, Phyllis needs to dump Nick's cowardly, trifling ass, like, 6 months ago. ETA: Melody Thomas Scott's hair was looking glorious for the first time in a while. It makes her look so alluring, too.

Members Sylph
Which is what I'm saying: since what people see on TV is... Not good. They have to talk about a different part of daytime business. That is, contract talks. And in the process invent all sorts of things. About fariness, non-fairness etc.
