Hmmmmmmm....we could go lots of places with that :).

What do you think all the thunder and lightning is about? Is is just to create atmosphere for tomorrow's previewed Sabrina haunting?

I hate to say it because the show is still ok borderlining other things, but are these Co-Headwriters taking turns writing. It's like significant Shifts between November-Feb/Feb-May and now. Shifts in approaches, style and quality. It just seems switched inbetween those intervals

Yes, I actually agree. Some of it may be moving Kay and her tale off the front burner and moving others (basically Adam and Mary Jay) closer to the front. But in ways that I cannot explain, the show feels a bit more "Lathamesque" to me these days. (That is NOT a bad thing in my book...it means a greater emphasis on younger players, speedier movement [i'm not seeing too much of that], increased use of humor and snark). The emphasis on crime and mystery and capers (Mary Jane, Adam, Daniel) does make one wonder if Scott Hamner is having more influence.

I still enjoy the show very much from day to day. I cannot deny ... much as I try to ignore it ... that the Melody Thomas stuff is really coloring my view right now. Coupled with the fact that Lily and Tyra (whom we barely see) are major irritants to me right now.

Wow, I'm sorry but I don't know how anyone can like Nick after tomorrow's US episode. That loser should have died in the plane crash. Great scenes though, Michelle Stafford completely anchors this! After today she's my choice for Lead Actress, just consistently brilliant this year.

Now I know why they're re-casting Summer with a more talkative child.

Yes I kinda notice things because Hogan's style is way more aggressive, I know he slows it down for build up but the pacing tend to be errr different with his approach. I definitly believe Scott Hamner is the driving force at present. I buy mostly MAB from November to Feb

I suspect I will hate his guts then. Basically, I am already there.

I do too. Many people here assume that she is unwilling to take a pay cut...and I sure don't know anything about that. But my intuition is that it may be that she is being handled with a supreme lack of respect (much as Martha Byrne was).

To make someone work for less $$ and treat them like sh!t...not worth it. Assuming the Sony moneymen are being dirtbags, I kind of wouldn't mind if she walked. I'd miss Nikki/MTS, but I really think that these things can happen with respect. Especially for an essential long-term contributor like MTS.

    • He joined Julian in Bermuda when he getting a divorce from Ivy. And, was the one who tricked Theresa and Julian in to believing that they had gotten married there. That would be nice.  That was such a good book, and it was too bad that the show retconned it so much. I still have my copy somewhere.
    • Instead of Febreze, Eva pulled a few tissues of Puffs and cried into them. Hayley comes in with a pack of Always and is like "Well, Bill turns out I'm not pregnant." Andre and Derek sharing a bottle of Pepto after eating Ashley's cooking. Vernon and Anita drinking up their Metamucil.
    •   I liked the actress who played Tina. She was not the typical soap hire. I hadn't thought of her in many years until I saw a Spauldingfield video of her. It makes sense if they were planning to make her Frank's daughter as she was tied to the Coopers and nothing else was done with her beyond singing and the relationship with Marcus that Rauch never cared about. David was hurt by Monti Sharp leaving the role. I don't blame Monti for leaving, as he was getting less and less to do, but Russell Curry was a very generic actor was too old for the part. Yes, black don't crack, but he was nearly 40. When David returns at the end of the decade they cast an actor who was a little too young, which just shows how little interest the show had in the character or black characters in general (and random recasting would return with the Boudreauxs). Marcus is a character who got a lot of buzz early on and then the show lost interest (again).  Anyway, if you stay watching, be warned that the Hart/Dinah/Roger stuff gets worse and worse. Luckily you don't have the same lengthy ties to the show so it may be OK for you. It made me feel a bit sick at the time.

    • I just find her obnoxious and I need somebody to start checking her (other than Bill) without couching it in you’re so strong and wonderful and Bill did you so wrong. Even Anita pulls punches with her. Her personality would definitely rub some people the wrong way and I hope once the canvas evolves beyond Dupreeland, she gets some adversaries who aren’t villains or 90-lb. weaklings like Haley.
    • Wow.... Anita and Dani are the ultimate symbol of mean girls.   I hate to tell this to Dani... but Eva's ability to do hair is a much more coveted job and skill than Dani's modeling.   I doubt Dani could cut it if she lost her money and was truly forced to start over from square 1.
    • -- That scene was a mess because of Sheila. Why would Bill go To that pizza dump? And why would he tolerate Sheila sitting at his table for even 5 seconds? -- Also a mess? Liam's dialogue. Telling $Bill how much he admires and respects him was hilarious! Then it went on! "Your presence, your guidance and influence...you made me a man. You made me THIS man." Jesus.
    • Not FOOTBALLERS' WIVES!!!! TASTE, DARLING. LOVE IT. Cool!!!
    • I can't help but think that this was a Ron/Jamey plot, that Paula/Jeanne just decided to run with.  Hopefully, it'll be written better than what we've had to endure previously. Roman runs it, and she helps. Interesting. I felt a similar way every time Ben called Charlie, 'Chuck'
