David Canary finally getting the air time he deserves!

YAY for Opal and Erica too. If there is one thing Pratt did right, it was using Opal on the canvas. Bravo!

I think that with Eileen Herlie gone and Lee Meriwether unavailable a good deal of the time, they realized they needed some semblance of a matriarchial figure, so they turned to Jill Larson. No, Opal is not your conventional matriarch, but that's what makes her so interesting and fun to watch. I love her, and I have to say that she is one of the few bright spots for me on this show. Poor Ray MacDonnell and Walt Willey have really suffered under Pratt's regime, but I guess we have no idea if their decreased airtime is story- or salary-dictated. My guess is the latter.

I only have David Canary on 18 episodes. Same with Jacob Young. I also only have 14 for Ricky. And what made you count the legs for Erica and Liza?

Flesh. I can't tell Liza's legs from Ryan's but Pratt said their legs would be walking around. If I counted Liza's legs once too much that'll make up for her "video" episode last month (where we weren't sure if it was new footage), which I didn't count, lol.

David. I have Adam for 18 episodes. 8 out of 9 of Stuart's episodes were him on the same day Adam was on - one day was with just Stuart.

I'll double check Jacob/JR and Jake/Ricky. I don't have a computer file for May, computer ate up the file, but I have the crap written down so I'll double check that with transcripts.

ETA:

I did the check on JR and Jake and it's still adding up to 19 and 15.

JR/Jacob: He aired on every single episode except Wednesday, 5/27.

Jake/Ricky: In May, he didn't air on Friday, 5/1 - Monday, 5/4 - Friday, 5/8 - Tuesday, 5/12 - Wednesday, 5/13.

I have him missing for the 26th. I have a * next to Adam for the 4th, I think I remember why... There was a made-up flashback on the 4th, was it redundant from the one that ended the 5/1 episode? I don't remember.

ETA: Wait, the made-up flashback (where JR sees Adam smiling about Dixie's death) aired at the end of the 5/4 episode, not at the end of the 5/1 episode. So, yep, it's a count for Adam.

Can you believe 3 years ago that Vincent Irizarry was being wasted on this show and would only show up once or twice a month - and now he is LEADING the show for 2009? Loves it.

Also love how much Opal is being used this year - she should come back to contract status - she's on more than half the contract cast this year.

Beth Ehlers could use a storyline - she's being wasted away - sad when dayplayers are used more during the year than she is!

Just love seeing so many different characters with higher numbers this year - much different than the Zendall/Ryannie show last year.

Does anyone know the health status of James Mitchell? This list says he has not been on once all year and when last I saw him on the show he was looking quite shaky.

He's pretty sick I think. I read on the soap blog on TV Guide Canada's website that he wouldn't even be in the New York area until sometime this spring. So maybe he's just getting back?

I hate it simply bc I hate David. The show focuses too much on him IMO. I do love how Opal has been revitalized. She's being used alot and in different storylines showing alot of different range
