I think Nick will end up raising this kid even if he isn't the father. They may make sure the child isn't Nick's and he raises it, because then the child would be the ultimate Cassie replacement.

I hope Billy's failings as a father may make him understand some of what Jill went through when she was struggling to juggle living her very dramatic life and trying to be a mother to him.

I'm just thrilled today to see Thom again. I didn't know whether to scream with delight or jerk off! I'm just DYING to see where this SL goes, this is the most exciting thing that's happened on Y&R in at LEAST 10 years. And Tricia Cast is the catalyst in making it all so REAL. She was DESPERATELY needed to pull this off. The foreshadowing today was just right in your face.... I sure hope Thom gets a cover story on one of the national gay magazines, he deserves some press, and it would draw some more viewers in to the show!

I started out happy she had returned, and defending her in the beginning. At least, I said, compared to her predecessor, she had varied facial expressions and emotional range.

Now, of course, that I'm seeing the exact same cutesy Lily I saw when she first returned from Paris all those years ago...I realize her limitations. She is playing a version of herself, and the writers have chosen to write to that--rather than challenging the actress. After the Drucilla-death/my-husband-is-beating-off-to-porn-instead-of-me tales went utterly flat...and she seemed more like she'd had a paper cut...and she was unchanged by those experiences...we saw that something was utterly off.

Then, plunged into that insta-fairytale with Cane...Chloe represented an obstacle for MONTHS, and never once was there any emotional resonance to that tale. While Goddard tried "smouldering",

 Billy is not that noble (thank god). In fact, I'm not sure I know anyone that noble. I think he should feel equally betrayed by Raul, but not happy for him. Maybe he should mourn the loss of Raul's friendship. I can get behind that much.

Boy did EH/Chloe ever drive any little substance in that story. Limited isn't the word, obviously though this is TPTBs golden girl (ideal Lily casting) if they are willing to dumb it down this much

I completly agree. Billy is being as noble as I believe Billy can be. The character is completly selfish and self indulgent. Infact yesterday when he learned about Nick being another contender for Sharon's baby's father he said something along the lines of "wow, she really ...." (gets around?) I thought that was perfectly in character. Billy didn't seem to get that he and Sharon were the same with each other. Infact it dawned on me how alike Billy and Sharon are, they both get around, they are both self indulgent the difference is Sharon has a tad bit more maturity and is capable of putting another before herself.

Not to mention that Billy had absolutely no concern for Sharon and not a whole lot for his potential child either. At this point even Billy has to understand that Sharon was kind of losing it while she was with him, but as he said straight out "he wasn't thinking about Sharon". What a jackass. He and 1980's Jack are definitely cut from the same cloth. I love it!

This is, and has been my issue with many soap writers. If the actor can't cut it, cut them. I think Y&R writes to Amelia's strengths too which is why we have the dull drip version of Victoria we have now. If the actor is so limited that it is hindering the writers from the stories they want to tell, the actor needs to be replaced.
