May 14, 200916 yr Member He would be fabulous, too. Loved what I've seen of his work! But not much. Lorraine is a woman!
May 14, 200916 yr Member Hey!!! I have a perfect candidate! I just realised!!! Frederick Johnson!!! Eh, what is he contributing at OLTL? The show seemed to go from steady to worse when he joined. Though I know that isn't his fault, and he's good, but he has to show me what's so great about him. Though, like Mulcahey, Johnson is one of those people that could land on any soap writing staff he wants, simply by his name alone.
May 14, 200916 yr Member I WANT DRAMA, DAMMIT! I don't want Daniel's poisoned paintings, and Adam's mysterious flying saucer, I don't care, I want the worst possible thing happening just before a couple's ultimate happiness, I want twists that completely turn a character around, I want pain that seems inescapable and lots of tears, until a ray of light shines, only to be taken away by a fabulous neurotic jealous villainess, and then some more drama and pain and tears. Where are the soaps???? [/rant]

He pitched a lot of stories for AMC, I believe... Wrote tons of story projections for Y&R which Bill Bell used and didn't...
May 14, 200916 yr Member Lorraine is a woman! Bwahaha That would explain why his writings had so much sensitivity (at least on AMC) You learn something new every day! Wrote tons of story projections for Y&R which Bill Bell used and didn't... He did? Then we should get him back!
May 14, 200916 yr Member Writing outlines? I don't know. But I'm sure he's not pitching any stories. The day to day writing on OLTL has been shiteous these past few months. Is he another one that's fallen in quality of work? But does he want to HW? I'm not sure.

Only to find happiness and guidance of Agnes Nixon. Who adores him.
May 14, 200916 yr Member Isn't Ta mystika tis Edem enough for you!!?!?! No, I want more, SO MUCH MORE I TELL YOU!!! Basically, I want my favorite soap to be good again. Bill treated him very, very unfairly and he left. Only to find happiness and guidance of Agnes Nixon. Who adores him. I can just see it now: "Hmmm, Freddie's good... too good. What if he proves better than me? Gotta get rid of him!" Muahahahahaha Edited May 14, 200916 yr by YRBB
May 14, 200916 yr Member Have in mind that Frederick Johnson's first job in this industry was story consultant. You don't get to have that as your fist job and on a Bell soap if you suck.

What were JER and Sally Sussman Morina's excuses then? Forgive me Toups. LOL! Edited May 14, 200916 yr by Y&RWorldTurner
May 14, 200916 yr Member They started as consultants? Sally did, JER consulted at B&B during its first year, I believe.
May 14, 200916 yr Member What were JER Actually, I'm pretty sure JER's sense of slow pace, boiling build-ups, keep-the-beloved-couple-apart, and general desire for a very specific style of dialogue were quite appealing.
May 14, 200916 yr Member I don't think JER sucked, I more think of him as a mad genius Yes, I often feel that way. Edited May 14, 200916 yr by YRBB
