May 12, 200916 yr Member ABC made another early pickup late Friday, giving a series order to sci-fi drama "Flash Forward." Series green light wasn't a surprise; the Alphabet network has already been teasing the show via a series of viral marketing spots during "Lost." That's led most to assume that "Flash Forward" will bow in the fall to satisfy "Lost" fans as they wait for that show to return in January. "Flash Forward" reps the second early series order this week for ABC; net also picked up the laffer "Modern Family." ABC Studios is behind "Flash Forward," which centers on what happens when everyone on Earth briefly falls unconscious at the same time for two minutes and 17 seconds. During those moments, people see what happens to their lives six months into the future. Show is based on the novel "Flash Forward" by Robert Sawyer. David Goyer and Brannon Braga wrote the pilot, while Goyer also directed. Goyer, Braga, Vince Gerardis, Jessika Goyer, Marc Guggenheim and Ralph Vicinanza are exec producers; Guggenheim and Goyer will serve as showrunners. Stars include Joseph Fiennes, Courtney B. Vance, Jack Davenport, Sonya Walger, John Cho, Brian O'Byrne, Zachary Knighton, Peyton List and Christine Woods.
May 20, 200916 yr Author Administrator Wow! Great preview. I love these high-concept shows......shows that think outside the box unlike procedure shows (*cough* CBS *cough*). Sure high-concept shows never sustain great ratings, so hopefully this show does well enough to last 4-5 seasons.
September 26, 200916 yr Author Administrator The pilot was amazing!! I love suspense thrillers and this is a damn good one. The idea of the entire planet simultaneously losing consciousness for 137 seconds, and have 'memories' of future, is so cool. Loved the cliffhanger of mysterious black figure who was walking around the baseball stadium. Kudos to ABC for putting on a show like this instead of the usual procedure dramas.
September 26, 200916 yr Member I loved it too, and the cast is great! Instead of just making it a blackout in a city or the US... it was a great move to make it world wide, because it makes more sense. Can't wait to see how they're gonna put all of this together!
October 3, 200916 yr Author Administrator I love John Cho so this prophecy of Demetri dying sucks. I so think Demetri is the father of Janis' baby and I love their scenes together. The scene where Stanford tells Mark about his vision was hilarious! Doing mouth-to-mouth to someone who blacked out in a urinal. That is so gross! I love the little girl who plays Charlie, she's so cute and a pretty good young actress too. The beginning of the episode with the kids playing "blackout" was creepy!!
October 11, 200916 yr Member Hm... The new series seems to share a perhaps fatal flaw of that now-canceled show, which is that the premise becomes so byzantine and the complications so arcane that eventually people just give up on trying to make sense of the darn thing. Let's home that doesn't happen.
October 12, 200916 yr Member Something is missing for me. I hate that by episode 3 they've already opened it up to involve dead birds in Africa and Nazis... When I still feel liek I don't knwo all the major characters!
October 21, 200916 yr Member There's been a change at the helm of another freshman drama recently picked up for a full season, ABC's "FlashForward." Co-showrunner/executive producer Marc Guggenheim is leaving the series, with co-creator/exec producer David Goyer stepping in as sole showrunner. The move follows a similar switch last week on CBS' freshman drama "The Good Wife." Showrunner/exec producer Dee Johnson, also brought in after the pilot, has departed, handing the reins to co-creators/exec producers Michelle and Robert King. Because of Goyer's limited hands-on TV series experience, "Eli Stone" co-creator Guggenheim was brought in after the "FlashForward" pilot to help with the launch of the mystery drama based on Robert Sawyer's novel. After learning the ropes in a co-showrunner capacity on the original 12-episode order of "FlashForward" alongside Guggenheim, Goyer will fly solo for the series' back-nine order. Guggenheim will focus on development under his overall deal with "FlashForward" producer ABC Studios.
October 27, 200916 yr Member I have found the pilot script, unscanned version. Interesting read, weirdly written (formatted), kind of clumsily. If someone wants it... PM me.
November 8, 200916 yr Author Administrator Wow! What a fantastic episode!!! I was sad to see Al committ suicide - I like the core group of FBI agents. So now we know the future CAN be changed and the FlashForwards's aren't set in stone (I think). So how does this affect the Fiona's FF because she was with Al. Now this gives me hope that Demetri won't die! And the ending with Aaron seeing his daughter was shocking too. What a great cliffhanger!

We are only a couple of day's behind (screens on a Monday night here) I loved the part with Joseph Finnes character shooting and killing the guy with the tattoo of the star's on his arm and thinking that his future is also changed, but then at the end showing all these people with the same tattoo is making things very interesting. The rings are also interesting as it seems that the only people that were awake during the blackout were wearing them. Please don't tell me that the next episode it the final one of the season as that is what it is saying here, but then we are coming to the end of our ratings season.
November 26, 200916 yr Member Please don't tell me that the next episode it the final one of the season as that is what it is saying here, but then we are coming to the end of our ratings season. It's not the last episode of the season in the US. That much I am sure of, although they have halted production to tweak things. Supposedly they are ahead in filming, so it shouldn't interfere with the schedule.
November 27, 200916 yr Member I am absolutely FLOVING Peyton List on this series; just wish they would feature her more often. *shrug* Also, cool to see the guy playing Al used to be "Jett Jackson" on Disney. Loved that show when I was a tween! Nice, very nice episode with Bryce secretly battling cancer, heading off to find the woman in his dream (only to be thwarted by her mother), but little did both Bryce (and her mother probably) know, she was on her way to America and the retaurant in the vision was actually in L.A.!!
