I believe Perry was written out because David Oliver wanted to leave the show not because of Jake.

Jake’s nephew Sean was Kevin Anderson’s son. Kevin was Jake’s half brother.

@Xanthe Thank you once again for all of the information. I don't think I've ever encountered Ben in any of the episodes I've seen of the show. The actor was cute and charming so of course they got rid of him. I also will never understand the obsession with the character of Jake. I concede Tom Eplin is a good actor, but I would have been perfectly happy to lose the character especially after 1990.

Thanks. I always thought it was the show's choice as they seemed to just have him there to be mistreated by Carl and the tease with Donna that never went anywhere.

I always forget they brought in a son of Kevin's (was this meant to be a son from before Kevin went to prison)?
