Yeah but...

I think that whole stuff was just something thrown in that won't be picked up for months...

Or at all, especially when Suresucks, I mean Sursok, is off filming YET ANOTHER film again.

No need to correct yourself, we all made that mistake various times... I don't know why though...

It's Judith.

JVA's Gloria was awesome.

I respectfully disagree. Every time Ark was on the screen, I wanted to whip out my scalpel and reconfigure her face. It always made me nauseous. I still remember the scene when she ate eggs from the Athletic club between those thin glossed up lips of hers, I felt like throwing up.

Alvin's right. You can't blame that pot-smoking bastard for always beating the crap out of her.

Yo, Victor didn't even let Billy in his house!!

Then Adam chuckles after leaving that message for Heather?!? I love this episode so damn much. I gotta watch it again; so many intricacies LOL.

Why is Phyllis equating Restless Style with her marriage? That's so lame.

Maybe Billy could help Phyllis co-run Restless Style LOL.

I, for one, am getting annoyed by all these "outs" that Tammin keeps getting to do other films and such. Not that I want her on the show more often, but I feel like every time she leaves, so much story gets disrupted or dropped for her sake.

We all do.

I feel so sick and tired that I have to think about this for the millionth time..... how is she surviving there for SO MANY months?

Some genius most have negotiated her contract.

Victorjustdoesn'tgiveadamn.

I like how Sharon's pregnancy in a way will affect Victor's plans if she claims that the child is Jacks.

I go away for a meeting, and come back to this vomit of heresy so intense I'm sputtering. You all feed each other in this F-B/JT loathing...it's not NORMAL! :)

Of course we'd hear some lame excuse like Michael and Kevin, two of the most unlikable criminal characters in the history of daytime, finally having a caring and nice grandmother to cushion the blow of what an awful Gloria is and has always been.

Or that Gloria being Katherine's daughter finally gives her the wealthy life she deserves.

Yeah, that family is still a cancer to this show.

Who'd be making that lame excuse, huh? Listen, they had horrid, horrid beginnings, and that mother you despise is still in their lives. I think giving them a foothold in a normal, healthier family dynamic could be a revelation.

I don't see how you can find this compelling clan of grifters a "cancer". Genoa City is so homogeneously beautiful and wealthy. Finally we have a family that brings a different shading. They have enormous comedic value, the core members are uniformly well-acted. This loathing seems prejudicial, not based in fact.

I think they should all be going out to a family dinner.... Michael, Kevin, Jana, Eden, Gloria, Jeff... even Baby fen can be int he car. Lauren, stuck at work, says she will meet them there. She arrives at the GCAC and is shocked they are not there. She waits a bit, tries calling, and gets worried as Paul comes rushing in looking for her to tell her the news heather told him. The SUV flipped, they all died.

Yes, I totally agree. I'm not as bothered by them as others (meaning I can tolerate their scenes), but if they disappeared I really wouldn't care.

Now where is MarkH to defend them?

Sigh. Here.

No, JT needs to be written out.

JT and Victoria need to move to Italy for business, and in a year or so, a recast Victoria comes back with Reed and has announced she's divorced JT.

I'll stand in, although I lack his eloquence. I like the F/B clan. Every soap needs schemers and I like it that Gloria and Kevin are both relatively shameless about it. Michael as the put upon lawyer usually adds some humor for me, but I like it better when he gets down and dirty right along with them. Kevin really could be a great character, but the writing has been spotty.

Thank you!

But Y&R has characters who can scheme and plot and add a comedy element and pull it off much better.

Hell, even Amber.

They are just not needed, add nothing, and there are too many now.

I don't see how you could have watched the "Christmas Carol" episode, or the moment of glory after Kevin came out of the catatonia, or the drama in the boxcar, or the boxing ring years ago...and SAY this. That said, Jana and Jeff are peripheral, and I suspect their departures are imminent...at least Jana. Barbie Bloom seems to have a hard-on for Shackleford.

I wouldn't mind seeing Gloria tortured slowly before she's killed, wrong of me I know, but I just don't like or see her point on this show.

As someone else mentioned before, and I don't condone domestic violence, but I can see why Tom Fisher beat her ass and felt no remorse afterwards.

I wish I could find this funny...but this one goes a bit too far for me. Even with your qualifier.

We are seeing an evocative portrait of a survivor. We're seeing what happens if you spend your first 50 years at the bottom of Maslow's hierarchy of needs. I guess you prefer fantasy on daytime??

Gloria leaving her son's welcome home party to scheme for money. Not a surprise.

God, I join the bandwagon hating her, now. She was pathetic to me before. Now she's gross.

Don't you find that fearless? I mean...they could write her sweet and loving and reformed? But instead, they maintain her throughline! She is a grifter. She always was and always will be. What a unique, original character. You all want to sand off her edges.

Nadine did some f-ucked up stuff, but I still loved her. She had a heart and softness about her, she was a lost soul you could squeeze out some sympathy for. Nadine is everything Gloria should have been but isn't.

No, Nadine was Nadine.

Gloria is a DIFFERENT character. She's being written in a way that doesn't conform to some Soaps 101 template. Gloria is a true original because she is not redeemed, and she does not seek redemption.

I said it earlier..."everyday evil". Quotidien horror show. That's AMAZING.

She co-exists, on a daily basis, staring at the horror she's made of her son's lives. But still she persists...like the leopard she likes to wear...she cannot change her spots.

At the same time, she's not Sheila Carter evil...so we don't have to write her off. She's just bad enough that we can throw spitballs at the screen, all the while laughing at her next misadventure. "Here Fisher--here's a piece of steak--run out into the middle of the street and eat it."

That is EVIL. But it is also a little funny.

In addition, she DOES get her comeuppance, time and again. "Gloria, dear, wouldn't you like to go into your room and unpack your Hefty bags?"

==

Elsewhere in this thread was some sacrilege about sending JT to Europe or some sh!t.

Victoria can go...and be replaced by Heather Tom.

JT can stay, become permanently shirtless, and return to the bad-boy slut-dog he used to be. And then another good girl, like Colleen once was, can redeem him.

OK, yet again, the Adam scenes today are freaking me out! :(:( Did y'all catch the smirk on his face after leaving Heather the VM on helping him get out? Is he playing her AGAIN?!?!?!?

I so hope they aren't going down this path with Adam....but I'm sceeered.

Yeah, those 3-6 episodes per month with those throwaway scenes sure are impacting her "BIG" storyline.

but you know, Tammin did love the "Palm Springs" storyline.

Pretty strange that for someone that is not a big star and that hasn't been with the show for very long gets all of these outs. If that isn't suspicious, I don't know what is.

Of course he is... it's visible from miles afar.

Remember when he told her in bed to get away from him because she'll end up hurt...... or something like that.
