I just read it. It sounds interesting...LOL. You should have posted it on the Discuss the Soaps area. It's really not a spoiler...LOL.

I can discuss GL and ATWT being picked up and shot live from out of my living room. Doesn't mean it's going to happen.

Never gonna happen.

and let's remember that Disney owns half of the stock in Lifetime...

Thats what I thought! Forget this one. let this thread die.

It would be kinda weird if Lifetime picked up ATWT and GL. I'm not sure how the Disney/ABC thing would conflict. ABC picked up Edge, but if ATWT and GL were to air on Lifetime and that's a BIG IF, would they even still be consider competition to ABC/CBS/NBC since they are on cable?

You never know, maybe if they pick up ATWT and GL they may not air them against the ABC soaps? Maybe a 5pm-7pm soap block could be a nice little option, followed by next day repeats at 10am-12pm?

Isn't Lifetime's target audience women 18-34 or 18-49? Why would they pick up 2 older-skewing shows who have terrible 18-34/18-49 numbers? They would die a quick death there. The reality is that GL is dead. There is no alternative venue for the series. No one else is picking it up.

Btw..who owns the Hallmark Channel?? They have older skewing shows like Murder She Wrote and Golden Girls.

Sandwich GL and ATWT between Hallmark's newly acquired Golden Girls episodes and they just might have something. :P

Crown Media Holdings, iwhich is also the majority-owner of Hallmark Cards.

I will be shocked if anyone picks it up.

That's a great idea! When CBS primetime sucked in the 90s, the only hit they had other than 60 Minutes was Murder She Wrote! Hallmark's audience may be in heaven if they got ATWT/GL and Murder She Wrote all on one network!

You never know, all of ATWT/GL's audience may be fans of the Hallmark Channel anyway. We might be onto something, here.
