I really liked today's episode. I'm glad that the Ray/Vanessa storyline looks like its finally wrapping up. I always thought that this storyline was one of the shows few week links. I do wonder if the show has any plans on keeping A Martinez. I think he is the only bright spot out of this whole Montez crap and I would love to see him interact with Robin Strasser again and I would love to see him opposite Erika Slesak.

Couldn't Cristian have done his barstool/knife fight without his shirt on?! This whole group of scenes was just a train wreck and brought A Martinez a few notches below what he's capable of. Once again, Florencia Lozano was the only thing worth watching in these scenes. I'd much rather they groomed Ray Montez to be Dorian's new love interest for when David is off-canvas.

Is Markko leaving?! UCLA? Oh well. I'd rather he died and gave Langston more grief-filled storyline angst, but I guess they can try to have a long-distance relationship and then it can fail and Langston can move on. Markko's sweet and all, but he's completely extraneous.

I love Robin Strasser's tongue-twisting in so many languages as she continually renames the mansions of Llanview. She's entertaining as hell, that woman. "But I gave La Boulaie to Moe... and Noelle!" Brava, La Strasser! But she should have called him "Maurice!"

Hope they don't drop the ball on David's religion and newfound morality. Addie's scenes seemed to indicate that it's not over and done with.

I had no understanding of what Jessica's going through in this episode. She was bouncing between three storylines today, with her feud with Natalie over Chloe, the Buchanans getting kicked out of Asa's mansion, and Wes Grainger's murder. My head was spinning for her.

Most of the leading men on the show right now are very hard to take. I hope Markko isn't gone, they can do so much more with him.

They're pushing the end of this David story at warp speed, after months of the same scenes over and over.

The Buchs not being able to stay at Renee's hotel was dumb as hell. I dont see WHY Asa giving everything to David should have any bearing on that as Renee owns and runs the hotel. She's had it between her divorces with Asa and that was something independent from him.

I somewhat agree with you on that. Ron seems to have great ideas in premise but they seem to run on just a little too long. By the time the end comes I've usually lost interest. Although, I did like the end of the "Rapemance" story. Then again you have to wonder how much of what we see is Frank/Ron and company and how much is Brian Frons.

Natalie's going to figure this hospital mess out soon.. I just hope she doesn't keep it to herself for long.

Loved when the Buchanans showed up at the mansion at the end, this storyline is just too good :D I'm kind of sad that David ISN'T Asa's son, but this should be fun.

How did Viki not tell Jessica about David being her uncle? So weird.

    • yes. today Monday's episode started with words displayed "part 1" and ended with "to be continued"
    • I find Missy Reeve's views offensive and I don't want to defend her, but I don't think she ever said anything publicly about Days "gay content".   In fact, I don't think she's ever said anything negative about Days at all.  There's no indication Missy is difficult or unprofessional on set-except for the whole affair thing years ago lol-but that's a whole different topic. I can dislike Missy as a person and still think she's the perfect fit for Jen.  Cady tried and it didn't work for me.  Whenever Missy steps into the role it works.  It's a two things can be true situation.  Missy has some bad opinions, but she's great at playing Jennifer.
    • Doesn't the funeral go into Tuesday
    • Christian Streaty wrote her second freelance script today on Days. Surprised they gave the first funeral episode to a newbie.
    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?
    • This is the coldest early June in my life. It's like it's January.
