People, I'm telling you, the Ignore User function makes all these unfortunate headaches disappear.

I hope the mods don't close the thread or delete it entirely over this stuff.

I thought it was only women who become

baby obsessed, but Cane looked like a total wackjob looking at the nurse cross eyed and then signing the birth certificate.

And I just love Jack looking like he's putting two and two together

and realizing it was Billy. Sharon's hung over whining is hilarious, you did it to yourself Bimbo, grow a pair and quit moaning.

This direction for the Sharon character is awesome. So much better than for Nick and her to just re-unite and Phyllis regressing and going ape [!@#$%^&*] crazy. This will actually give SC something to submit for an Emmy reel.

And the scenes at Newman were once again ruined for me by the Aussie pronunciation of the word RIGHT. It comes out something like ROYT and yet is used over and over again so the writers either don't realize how bad it is, or are doing it on purpose.

You CAN"T be serious. Khalil & Sursok are EASILY the two worst actresses on the show (save maybe nuEden & nuAbby, though an argument could be made). And Liz Hendrickson does subtext, she does nuance- hell, she's created a character that would be cardboard in the hands of Christel or Tammin.
I'm only going to agree with this statement because most of you have already commented and said it all. CBS did have an interview with Sursok but it also said that fans were buzzing when she left last March to film this musical: yes, we were buzzing in hopes that she'd been recast. Just saying.

That said, the show's writing is so much better. Wow, can Kate Linder cry or what? I'm still loving the fact that they made Chloe/Kate.

Cane and Lily deserve each other with their self-righteous BS!

Gotta love fangurls <_<

ANYWAY

Kate Linder has been wonderful this week. Another reason why MAB gets this show, she has re-integrated Ester back into the canvas.

Now maybe she can reintegrate Michael and Lauren and JT and Victoria. Ah JT and Victoria can break up for all I care and they had that endless coma storyline and Victoria's Sabrina jealousy last year, but give Michael and Lauren something to do. They don't even have to be in the same story, but give these two good actors something to sink their teeth into. Ok, Likey fan girl post over.

I just don't buy the Cane and Billy confrontations. On paper, the rivalry makes perfect sense but maybe it is because they are trying to put too much testosterone in their scenes but it doesn't work.

I should be on Cane's side, but his yelling and sneers just irritate me and the way he is obsessively holding the baby and the way he thinks he was the be all and end all at running Jabot and so much better than Billy just is so ughhh!. Daniel Goddard is just so unconvincing to me. Maybe on another soap he would be fine, but he sticks out like a sore thumb on this show which is filled with good actors.

Please let him marry Princess Lily and write them both off. I normally don't say that because they do have a fan base, but he is not getting better in his role, just worse and from what I read he is all about learning from the veteran actors and analyzing his scenes. He must be a slow learner.

Too bad with all the politics, favortism, and all around High School behavior going on at the Y&R set, it's unlikely she'll even receive a pre-nom. <_<

I don't mean to sound flip, but what's the big deal if she doesn't get a prenom? She is getting story and work. You can have a room full of emmys but if you are an actor and getting to do your thing on a daily basis isn't that better than being an actor who gets the nominations or awards yet does not get story.

I like watching the awards, but the whining by some actors is just beyond me. I am a teacher and nobody is walking around offerring me an award. I am happy if I effect the lives of my students in some way. So shouldn't an actor be happy if they touch the people viewing them. Sharon Case is getting great story. If she gets a nomination, good for her. If not, she is still lucky to have a job and to consistantly get meaty material.

I have never heard her complain about not getting a nomination, so she may feel lucky to just get so much material year after year. As for the notion that Y & R is a set filled with politics, what business or work place is not filled with politics? From what I hear, even from departing actors, it seems like Y & R is a pretty good place to work.

In the grand scheme of the world, it's not a big deal. But I LOVE the Daytime Emmys. Always have. And Y&R's pre-noms are consistently WAY off target and undeserving actors with little or no story get their shot at the gold while the truly great performers of the year are left by the wayside. I just find it unfair because when my favorites or even non-favorites are doing Emmy caliber work (Hi MTS, Braeden), it's ridiculous that they are left off the ballot for the less deserving. As an actor, I think it to be very important to put your personal feelings and differences aside during this process and judge your peers based sheerly on their performance. That doesn't seem to be happening over at Y&R.

That's it, right there. I'm watching these two prissy, pretty boys get in each others faces and all I'm thinking is, "Gosh, they are trying EXTRA hard to be macho right now."

It just struck me as false, false, false. I don't get menace from either actor and I feel their chemistry is more sexual than brotherly.

Here's another one for ya: Eileen Davidson is better than Sursok & Khalil.

As RedWarrior said, apples & oranges. Eileen has 30 years of experience. It's completely unfair to compare relative newcomers to a vet.

I believe Hendrickson and Bloom are miles better than either Khalil or Sursok.

And I respect that, even though I disagree. You, unlike other posters, didn't state it as if it were a fact.

Sorry Warrior, but nobody indicated that she was leaving (we are all aware that there's something holding them back).

That rumor is just as ridiculous as it was a year ago. Geez, there are people on the show I don't like, but I'm not going to start conspiracy theories.

The only person keeping her there is Maria Arena Bell. (She's the nice lady who writes and produces the show. :))

Many posters on this and other boards make offhanded comments just to inspire a reaction much like the one I gave. I believe that was the intention of that post so I just gave the person exactly what they asked for.

I did not make that comment to inspire any reaction. I, like many others, think Khalil and Sursok are far superior to Bloom and Hendrickson.

The problem I have had with both actresses is that they replaced far more capable and charismatic actresses who fit their roles much better and made me actually enjoy Lily and Colleen, which said a lot, considering I didn't give a hoot about either character before or after they were played by Davetta Sherwood and Adrianne Leon, respectively.

Ah. A jilted DS and AL fan. It all makes sense now.

(How anyone could possibly prefer either one of them to their successors is mind-boggling to me, but to each their own.)

yes, we were buzzing in hopes that she'd been recast.

Some were, some weren't.

Well, whatever, back to the show damnit!

I f-ucking hate the way Daniel Goddard says "daughter." And no, it's not because he's Australian, his pronunciation of that particular word grates my nerves as much as his horrid acting. Cane is so useless, he needs to die or leave town, like now. Latham will rot in hell for eternity for creating this character. I hope when this storyline is over, Cane and Lilly can depart the show and live happily ever after, off my screen.

Uh, it was sarcasm, which was obviously lost on the two of you. And the smiley was a dead giveaway.

Please. I stated my opinion. So sorry if you didn't like the way I went about stating it.

You're right. The Khalil/Sursok supporters are out in droves.

I didn't like the way their exits were handled. I wouldn't call myself a fan necessarily- all I said was that I actually liked the characters with those actors in the roles. At any rate, they were miles better than the current bland 'actresses' I'm stuck watching on a daily basis. Well, not Tammin. Fortunately for me, I only have to suffer her 3-4 times a month, as Alvin stated. :)

Exactly, it's exhausting.

Sadly, Cane will

gladly fight for the baby

, but I won't feel a least bit interested in his heroism. Also,

Lily and Cane will make love, and later Billy will confess to Lily that she is "the one." Seriously, can this Lily love stop already? They could throw in Daniel and maybe someone else and it'd be Cricket all over again.

I understand but I guess I am just the opposite in that Christian Le Blanc gets emmy nominations and so has Tracey Bregman (in supporting in two of the last four years) yet have gone years without a real meaty story. So I get the frustration that favorite actors who do Emmy caliber work don't get nominated but so many of these actors get so much story and so many emmy worthy scenes that I think it is actually harder to be a Christian Le Blanc who gets maybe three or four meaty scenes a year to be nominated. Should actors like Christian be punished because the writers don't write them story? I guess Christian should have gone down to supporting, but they seem to have more actors competing for supporting and only three competing for lead (EB, PB, and CLB). I personally get more frustrated when "hair model" types get nominated rather than genuinely good actors who get nominated that may not have had big stories in that year. Not enough to really bug me, but enough to roll my eyes.

I for one wouldn't mind CLB not getting an emmy prenom, but getting a good story and more of an opportunity to do Emmy calibre work instead of Maria Bell throwing him some emmy worthy scenes at the end of the year so he had a few episodes to submit. By the way, I don't think CLB should get a nomination but for me I just can't feel to bad for Eric Braedan when he has led story for twenty years. Now, I must admit I would like MTS to get a nomination but as long as she gets story she probably doesn't sweat the emmy snubs too much.

Looks like that number will be tripled (and more) for February. <_<
