I loved MItch in the 80s because he was an interesting villain and touched so many other characters--Tina, Viki, Cassie, Dorian, and Joy--and even after he died that first time, the cult brought Allison, her mom, Mary Lynn Dennison, Tom Dennison, Carol Dennison/Lee Halpern/Janet, and the various other characters they interacted with (Allison was involved or friendly with Danny Wolek for awhile, and Mary Lynn had a series of boyfriends.

I think I probably used a box of Kleenex myself when I heard Roscoe was coming back to the show in the early 2000s... until I watched what they wrote for him. It was awful, and he played it so over the top it was hard to admire even his performance. I was happy that they wrote the character out, but his whole return story was awful.

What concerns me now is that he's being brought back apparently to be revealed as Rex's daddy. This is pretty much why Carol Hesser was brought back last summer -- to be revealed as Talia's father -- and given how awfully that story was written and performed, I'm worried they'll screw this up too. (Never even mind the fact that Mitch has been killed off twice already!) Also, the show hasn't done much recently to generate interest in who Rex's father is... it doesn't seem to be on the radar right now, and given the number of times they have raised this issue and dropped it cold again, it's hard to care. Mercifully, it sounds like Mitch's return is short term; and if I'm wrong and they write a good story for him (as they've done with Tea) I hope they'll reserve the option to keep him around or at least bring him back from time to time.

One thing that could make all this interesting: if Mitch turns out to be the father of Rex and Blair, too. Rex and Dorian work well together, and I'd love to see them written in the same orbit for a while. And I am definitely looking forward to Roxy locking horns with Mitch

I'm hoping for the best but bracing myself...

I LOVVVVVE Mitch...but I am afraid of what's in store for him. The villains on OLTL have to be handled with care- too many jokes, too much camp, too much evil- that over the top approach. It works on DOOL but not always, if not ever on OLTL.

At another board they reported that ex Kevin was at the OLTL studios..

Smart move if they bring back Kevin!!! That guy was a hunk who could act. Loved him.

And budget wise it would make sense now that Kamar is leaving! (Don't let the door hit ya on your tight muscled ass, Kamar!!! And DON'T come back now, ya hear!!??)

interesting point about Kevin, rangethatrover... this would be an excellent time to bring him on because he has history with so many of the characters on or coming back to the canvas: all of the Buchanans, of course; Todd; Tea; Rachel Gannon; Marty; Blair; Dorian; and probably a few more I'm forgetting; but there are all kinds of dramatic possibilities were Kevin to return. The show could logically ease him into any number of the storylines going on right now

Bringing back Dan G would be a very smart move. Plus they're bringing back Rachel so - bang - love interest. Although I don't get the feeling Rachel is long-term. Jeremy at Soaptown mentioned that he heard they asked Dan to come back and he declined. That wouldn't surprise me. After OLTL gave him the boot he went back to the West coast and he's been getting work, so I could see him saying "thanks, but no thanks." (Just to be clear, Jeremy doesn't do spoilers/rumors. He just mentioned that in response to a letter.)

I hope it's true that they asked him to come back. Letting him go was one of TIIC biggest mistakes.

Yep Mitch is definitely gonna turn out to be Rex's daddy. I'd put money on it.

This might be great story wise for Rex. Bo has become a surrogate father to Rex, but his biological father is pure evil. I would love it if this turned out to be true. Also who knows, they might rewrite the whole Jess/Natalie switcheroo in the process. We could potentially be seeing RC already plant the seeds with Jess vs Natalie.
