In some cases this is hard to say because for people like Jake Martin, which Jake are we referring to? I don't know what they mean by "Hunk" but in what universe is Marco Dane hunkier than Brody? Josh Madden was played by Colin Egglesfield, right? And SID is saying there will be 90 hunkier guys than him? And then they throw in Ric Lansing and Marco? I don't think more than one out of every 100 women if shown photos would go with Ric or Marco over Josh. And as I recall him, Dylan Moody would be on top 10 lists, not #88 or whatever. I can't do anything but laugh at the notion that pipsqueak Juan from GH made a hot hunk list at all.

I think that if they mention a character that has been recasted but doesn’t specify the actor who played them, that they mean the most recent person playing that character. I think that the Jake they are probably talking about is Ricky Paull’s Goldin’s Jake, even though I think that J. Eddie Peck's Jake was the hottest Jake. I thought that his Jake was very hot and sexy.

I also thought that Windsor Harmon's Del Henry was pretty hot, but I don't know if his version of Del or Alec Musser's version will make the list. And Josh Madden was also a recast, Scott Kinworthy played him before Colin did, even though I think that SID is referring to Colin's Josh Madden.

I also don't agree with some of the choices and order of the choices. I feel like Jonathan Lavery could have been ranked higher and over someone like Coleman.

I think that Sonny and/or Jason will probably make the top 10. I also think that Zach and/or Ryan could be in the top 10. And that John McBain could be in the top 10 as well. I think that Luke might place pretty high as well.

I would love to see Adam Chandler and David Hayward make the list and get decent rankings. And Frankie Hubbard, but I have a feeling that he is going to be left off the list. I want to see Leo du Pres ranked high on the list and IMO, his brother Trey was kind of hot., but I don’t know if Trey will make the list.

Me too. No matter who they choose, the list is going to be superficial and a matter of personal taste. What are they basing the choices and rankings on anyway? Popularity? Popularity in their magazine? Not that I don't like him, but who would have guessed that Hugh Jackman would be People's Sexiest Man?

Back to the list. I'm sure Sonny Corinthos, Jason Morgan, and Ryan Lavery will place high on the list, but they do nothing for me, not my type. Never have been, never will be.

That's fine and that's you, but Colin Egglesfield was a model at one point and he was a model for a reason, and I imagine if Calvin Klein and every other designer were given a choice between the two as to who would walk the runway modeling briefs, every last one would pick Colin Egglesfield. There are just some things personal taste can't refute away. It would be the same for the guy who played Dylan Moody way back when vs the inevitable top 10 member Tony Geary. Let's be honest here about what the general application of "hunk" usually is. They aren't even taking Rick Heart from his younger, fitter days. They are choosing the Rick Hearst who is 40, with questionable hair dye, pasty white skin, and who has gone a little soft in the torso over a guy who is the very definition of fit. How can this be an honest choice for who is the hottest hunk?

Maybe the people who make this list are also basing their choices on they think is the sexiest men, as well as the best looking men? Some men may not be all that good looking, but a lot of people still find them sexy for various reasons. I don't think that Luke is a good looking man, but I'm sure that there are people that find him sexy, even if they admit, he's not your typical soap hunk. I don't think that Ric is very attractive, but I have seen a lot of viewers call him sexy.

I think that Adam and David Hayward, can be sexy in their own ways, but if we were going off of just looks, even though I think David is good looking, I don't think that they would make the top of a list that judges men based soley on their looks.

I understand what you are saying though. So I guess the question is, is this list just based on who has the best looking face and body? Or is it based on that, and who has the most appealing attitude and personality, and who people at SID feel is the sexiest in terms of these things.

Sayting that they are basing this on Rick Hearst at 40 is not right either. This is of all time and I am sure they are taking into consideration all the years.

Even saying that I don't think they will do this justice. It will be just like their couples list - way too slanted to the current favorites of ABC.

    • I have not gone back to watch much of 1987, but from what I've seen lately, it doesn't feel like the writers or producers had any sort of plan. The show feels as if it's constantly in flux.  I will give it credit for this. It's watchable for the most part minus Lisa/Jamie which I find nearly unwatchable now.   I don't find Cheryl mousy. I think she has a lot of quiet strength, but she was saddled with the Scott romance which the writers did not invest in. She had a good friendship with Julie (also criminally underused), and her interactions with Ada were enjoyable as well. I also like Layman, but Spencer was extremely talented and when Cass returns, Schnetzer and Spencer have some wonderful scenes. Spencer also fits in with Alexander, Hogan, and Marie.  I'd forgotten just how much I missed seeing Wallingford. IT was so good to see him again. Even when they didn't have a major plot, Felicia/Cass/Wallingford/Mitch always brings a smile to my face.
    •   Dani’s cute ass party planner. He gave me some tea but I was so drunk I don’t remember it.
    • NBC must have been grateful to have LHOTP, it's only hit and still strong after several seasons. Their next established show was Rockford Files at 45th. They didn't develop any comedies and relied on movies and mini series  which didnt establish viewer loyalty and habits. Their only new hit was mid season's Project UFO which debuted Feb up against Rhoda/On Our Own on CBS and How the West Was Won on ABC. It opened with a strong 36 share beating CBS and close to ABC as HTWWW had a 36 share over 3 hours. The next week UFO saw a respectable 32 share, then a 31 so it was slipping. A 28 share followed but a few weeks later it jumped back up to a 34. So no blockbuster but compared to what else they had, there was potential, So next season NBC sent it to Thursday up against Mork and The Waltons and it bombed.  They were smart to see potential in Chips, which took off on Saturdaysnext season. ABC was on a roll with Love Boat, 3's Company, Taxi, Eight is Enough adding to their hits. Their only real flops were Redd Foxx and San Pedro Beach Bums, an Aaron Spelling misfire. Like Redd Foxx, Harvey Korman was lured to ABC but his series was a filler that did well but was considered a time slot hit. Nancy Walker and Rob Reiner were also given series on the philosophy that not only were they popular names, their absence from popular shows like Sanford, Rhoda and All in the Family might weaken those shows. CBS were relying on old favorites. Betty White was strong the first few weeks then faded. Incredible Hulk was their strongest newbie. It was lucky for CBS that NBC was doing so badly or else some of their weaker shows would have really suffered.
    • That outfit looks like something Martin would wear lol.
    • Omg not we both ran into people from the show this weekend!
    • I guess he was let out the gates, because he's outside.
    • Yup.  You can hate John all you want, but like seriously he was the cornerstone of the show for years.  So he should get a long ass funeral and burial and all the things because Drake and John deserve that.
