IN LOVING MEMORY

EILEEN HERLIE

"MYRTLE LUM FARGATE"

MARCH 8, 1918 - OCTOBER 8, 2008

My onscreen guide's summary for the show is all Myrt-centric, so I think that today's episode won't be like Phoebe's, 3 1/2 years ago. It's going to be a sad show, but hopefully a good one!

Damn I am so mad. Our ABC affiliate is totally [!@#$%^&*] this episode up. It has jumped and stuck all through it and now it has been stuck for almost 4 minutes on one scene where Zach first met Myrtle and just shows Myrtle's face.

I loved Myrtle going off on Zach for setting up that tacky murder mystery thing at the casino's grand opening. Ass.

I wish I could see the full episode from the Myrtle/Phoebe scene. They showed a part of that scene for Phoebe's funeral as well.

I love the idea of having people congregate on the porch at the boarding house!

And this episode proves that Myrtle was still a vital part of the canvas. She has some sort of connection to basically *every* character on the show, except for a couple of the newer ones (Taylor, Brot, Randi).

I wish they had done this type of show for Phoebe. And that is all I will say because I don't want to get into the broken record of how much I hated the Phoebe funeral episodes.

I loved the boarding house ones too. It looks as if the boarding house was closed or condemned though. Did I miss something? Was Myrtle not living there anymore?

Something did look wrong with the BH. It looked like the doors were boarded up or something.

Gosh, how I loved Erica's house before Trey burned it down. And those jail scenes were a trip! "Opal sang the...the...." "The Battle Hymn of the Republic!" "The Battle Hymn of the Republic!!"
