Wow, I just saw some clips from Trump's cabinet meeting yesterday and....just wow.   I think I actually threw up a little. That was one of the most embarrassing things I have ever seen. How can those people look at themselves in the mirror after that pathetic behaviour. Their heads are so far up Trump's giant ass I'm amazed they can still breathe, and I think it would be easier to find Jimmy Hoffa than to find their spines. Liz Cheney was so right. One day Trump will be gone, but their dishonour will remain. It's all there on tape for posterity to look at and be shocked.

Have you all seen this post from Trump?! Dear god! He is certifiably insane! No, I take that back. This is even beyond insane. I'm genuinely afraid of what will happen now.

Posting on this Politics thread has fallen way off since the horrible one went back to the white house, especially after his agenda and the congress' agenda went into full force.

Obviously, I cannot speak for all the other posters as to why their posting has fallen away; I can speak only for myself.

For myself personally, to be honest, with fifty gazillion horrible things happening in politics daily, I haven't been posting on this thread very often, it's all so overwhelmingly awful.  I can barely handle reading the news, let alone talking about it.   But I do realize that it does need to be talked about.

I have missed your voice here.

Good to see you. :)

Thanks, I hope you both and everyone else is doing well, or at least hanging on as best as we can during these difficult times.

Believe me, I understand about limiting engagement with news and politics these days.  Nobody can blame us for doing what we can to preserve our mental health and stability.

Not to bring anyone down, but the news articles also highlighting how Democratic registrations are dropping as Gen Z is gravitating to the GOP also doesn't give me much hope for the future.

So, frankly, I just try to live in the moment. People - for all the bad polling - STILL seem to fall for GOP propaganda, so what can one do if folks CHOOSE to be deceived/ignorant, you know?

Just 2 more weeks to her book. I can't wait. I'm counting the days.
