Obviously!

I DEFINITELY envision a scenario where Trump fires not just Mueller, but Rosenstein and even Sessions as well.  It's going to be a REAL bloodbath.

He can't fire Mueller - he has to get Sessions or Rosenstein to do that, and Sessions recused himself (much to Trump's rage) and Rosenstein won't do it. He may try to dump Sessions and replace him with Pruitt (who would in turn dump Rosenstein) who is already on staff and therefore, I believe, does not need to be confirmed by Congress. Anyone else would have to be and would not make it through.

He will just keep acting like people are out to get him and he's a victim but now he's free.

The GOP has enabled this man at every turn and they will keep on doing so. The media isn't far behind. I have to wonder if this is why the "Democrats in disarray" narrative has picked up, with smarmy Bill Maher sounding the drums on his show last night. They know how to draw attention away - they always do.

I actually don't think most of the media is enabling him much anymore; I think they're as terrified of him as we are. I do think a lot of them always disdain too many Democrats. And Bill Maher is just a joke - he always hates Democrats.

The media is not trying to draw attention from Trump - most of them know he is a clear and present danger and report on it, many very well. But their repertoire and perspective is very limited by conventional norms, and their very real fear of this new and unthinkable situation is also a huge influencer on their coverage - any time they can try to bring things back to comfortable scenarios like 'both sides do it' or 'just Beltway politics as usual,' many of them do, because the alternative is abject horror at what has been wrought. In a way, trying to find false equivalencies or ways to needle Democrats as well as Trump is the mainstream media's security blanket in the face of Trump.

That said: Some of them are doing very good work.

He's having a rough Monday. This was posted with no other accompaniment:

I can't stand Olivia Nuzzi who cozied up to Milo Yiannopoulos, but:

It's a bit of a puff piece on Hicks which I find disgusting, but it has a lot of insight into the WH.

I try to limit my reading/posting of Op-Ed pieces but this one caught my eye.  From what I've observed from others and read I tend to agree with everything being expressed here except the part about Trump W.H. Inc. being committed to a lasting peace in the region.

I don't believe Trump W.H. is committed to anything except burnishing their bankroll.

This will come as no surprise to any of us but look at the number or trade agreements being signed and negotiated without the U.S. as countries look for alternatives to trade with the U.S.

What stands out is just how instrumental Canada is becoming in quite a number of these trade agreements, which makes sense.

As I listened to the Family Meeting yesterday on the radio(my fave radio program), they pointed out white people in America are getting the *ss whooping minorities and to a lesser degree white women have been getting for years. No matter how powerful this country thinks we are, the world is moving on. And I will say it again, the big winner here is China who is no longer even pretending it's trying to strike a balance with authoritarianism. Diff between Xi and Trump, Xi is more polished, smart,  ruthless and dangerous in the long run.

I've got to hand it to her team: they chose not to touch on her acting career in that video, which might be savvy in these times when so many appear to be "anti-celebrity."

I wish her all the luck in the world.

    • Awesome, thanks so much for taking the time to grab the episode. I had a quick review of your rip because I was curious why it was 700MB and 30 minutes. The first 10 minutes of the episode is 3169 (opening credits at 5 minutes and again at 15 minutes). The full HD version of ep.3170 is on YouTube channel:

    • Well, since I'm still up unexpected past my growing-into-it bedtime. lol.   I finally got to rewatch Monday's. I even rewatched Friday's to take it all in. Now that we got the reveal and hit the climax of the SilkPress Sheila storyline, now we get to watch the aftermath and/or turns that come with its climax. So far, so good. Friday left us with three cliffhangers. And what I found surprising was how I felt about them over a rewatch.    I know some of you all felt a way about the dialogue during Kat vs Eva. I remember liking it more the first time around and it was nice for them to have these scenes to establish more of a frenemy vibe for them going forward. That still held up. But I found myself agreeing with you all about that dialogue. lol. Still, it was nice to have both of their POVs.   Second up was Silk Press Sheila vs the Duprees. And I was happy to get a brief spat with Dani in there. But the rest standouts for me was Anita and Martin. Haters can hate and given the tail end of the episode, I will agree to a fault, but Brandon has impressed and he was on fire on Monday and had great subtle work on Friday. And that subtle work made it all the better. Like I believe I said when I was watching...BC has a much better grip on his character and seems to be realizing what his tics are so has started to be able to know when to turn it up and when to dial it down. And for the most part (emphasis on most), he got that. Meanwhile, TT was giving fierceness, and I was here for every minute of it. Her reading SilkPress. Her being quip about it. Her 'BE STILL.' Ooooo she had a chokehold on me as Anita gave what I was expecting her to SilkPress. WORTH THE WAIT. I also loved Vernon's CHOOSE SILENCE. I wonder though if SilkPress will figure out Martin's condition from her observing Anita and Vernon with him.   And speaking of worth it...Oooo YES Nicole vs Ted was worth totally worth it. Oooooo I knew DD would nail it, and it was all so well done. The fight between the part of Nicole who is a therapist vs Nicole as a woman who wants to express how she feels. And being so angry. And how there would be moments when it would shoot out of her. And how she would restrain herself. But how she felt she should not be restrain. Just the levels of processing and layers. And DD played it all so well. I do wish Maurice gave just a little bit more, but overall, I thought he did a good job even if it was just Ted coming across as a deadbeat and not at all redeemable. And Kat being there for her mother was so beautiful.   Minority, but I love the montage though yes, it did run a little long. Given how the Duprees like to bond (and also as I mentioned from my own very recent family experiences), it did not seem out of place to me.     That said...let's see how the aftermath worked in today's episode. Overall. Cuz RC can be hit or miss.
    • I wonder whose brilliant (

) idea it was to do an almost complete rip-off of the "who killed Tom King"-storyline. That's some quality style writing right there.....
    • The show is done. It got canceled at the end of January. https://www.soapoperanetwork.com/2025/02/fox-first-run-cancels-dish-nation-person-place-or-thing-pictionary-759232
    • I believe it. ESPECIALLY that last one.
