I actually have new found respect for the man after this hearing.  He was professional, factual and fair.  I'm waiting for the outcry from the right on how "partisan" he was as a way to try to discredit him.  But he was far from it.  I was impressed.

Y'all are right about the Trumpanatics.  I keep hoping that maybe one of them will engage in a genuine discussion about this corrupt administration and justify their support for them man.  Apparently they are unable to come up with any rational reason why they still support this criminal.

But ya know what?  That may be true, too!  He's a fuckin imbecile.

He doesn't look well at all. CNN just had a clip of him being interviewed by a gaggle of reporters and he looks ill and a bit disoriented.  I hope nothing happens to him. He's not perfect, but at least he wants an investigation.  We need Republicans who are behind this effort. I just looked up his age. I had no idea he's already 80 years old. Ugh.

Trump's favorite party in the United Kingdom, UKIP (UK Independence Party) looks as if they are about to be shut out of Parliament.

Jeremy Corbyn of the Labour party is performing better than many British projections/prognostications (although many Brits that I know always believed that he had a very good chance), while Theresa May is faring worse.

Earlier in the evening many analysts expected the Conservatives to be the largest party yet stipulated that the Conservatives would likely not have enough for a majority. Terms like "Hung Parliament" have been all the talk throughout the evening.

It will likely be a few more hours yet before the full picture comes into focus.

So, the UKIP is in trouble, Jeremy Corbyn appears to be in the lead and Theresa May is likely gonna lose.  Is this bad?  (I apologize for my ignorance.  I must admit I don't understand the UK political scene all that well.)

Depends on who you talk to. Xenophobes will be sad that UKIP is hemorraghing but people who voted to Remain in the EU may be elated. A lot of younger people participated and that seems to have helped Labour.

I can't say that May will lose, if her party ends up the largest party in Parliament, she may keep her seat but Labour's gains likely mean that she will be severely weakend.

Also, I don't know what people know of the Liberal Democrats, a small bloc but Nick Clegg, who was the head of the LDs lost his seat today.  I had almost totally forgotten about him but he and the LDs were supposed to be part of the coalition government with the Conservatives, who were then headed by David Cameron. Well, since Cameron lost his job, come to think of it, it follows logic that Clegg would lose his since their coalition yielded quite a few debacles.  I'm sure Clegg's favorite Liberal Democrats didn't appreciate that whole austerity period.

Theresa May was elected for Parliament seat for Maidenhead, retaining the hold for the Conservative party.

I did see Elmo and Lord Buckethead patiently waiting for their vote totals on the livestream. There was also a party called the Animal Welfare party (as I understand they may have been endorsed by Piers Morgan...eww!).

Certainly a motley crew!

Early headlines in Britain.

    • I totally understand your sloths concern about it and I agree with you. Let’s hope the show plays it’s cards right.    Further comments about the last few episodes: - I liked that one of the attendees was filming the scene. That’s realistic. I wonder if the writers will follow up with that.  - Martin and Smitty trying to drag Leslie out was very heteronormative, so perfectly in line with them two as characters lol.    As for the future: it’s obvious the Duprees will come to accept Eva one way or another, but the rivalry with Kay should be here for the long term   On the topic of acting: the only bad actors I’m seeing are Ted and Derek. Tomas hasn’t proven to be either good or bad, so far, but he’s certainly mediocre and uncharismatic. He sucks the energy out of the scenes and I don’t see any couple of women ever vying for him.
    • I’m trying to think which actors VW were working with at the time, and none of them had been there for a while. Even like Mac and Ada didn’t have that big of a part in Rachel’s storyline.  And Jamie was involved with all that movie stuff.
    • Brooke did ads before ATWT too. That probably helped get her the job. After ATWT she seemed to branch more into hosting, along with ads.  I think I saw Kelley in an ad or two, but you're right she wasn't on as much.
    •   Thanks for sharing these. I wonder if Charles might have been in the running for Adam. I know Preacher was a bit of a bad boy at times on EON, but Neal seemed to be a step down, and Robert Lupone had played a similar part on AMC. Given the huge cast turnover at this point I wonder who thought they had been there long enough to go.  Laura Malone/Chris Rich would get a remote within the next year.
    • Interesting.  It seems to allude to that statement that Warren Burton made around that time about some AW actors getting special treatment.  I wonder who was resentful about not getting to go.
    • Good morning, boys!  I figured that it was time that our Gio was introduced into the hotness thread

    • Under all of Madonna's social media today there is this wave of negative, toxic, absurd comments by Lady Gaga fans telling her how Gaga surpassed her in concert in Copacabana. I mean... Who the hell cares? Why are these fan communities so freaking toxic??? I'm sure Madonna doesn't care... But still. Have some respect for M. Leave her social media alone. Go cheer Gaga and be happy. Why come and spew hate on M??? Crazy world.
    • FYI, again, Ruth/Letitia is not in either of these 2 episodes. So that concludes the 4 episodes I had from Nov. 1983. I don't have the October episodes.
    • Eddie has begun uploading the 1990 episodes. I'm so happy about that. I was mindfully taking a break till there's plenty of episodes I can binge watch when I feel like it. Now that 1989 is complete... I can't wait to press play on February 1989 and resume where I left off.
