Loved Annie throwing Spike's kidnapping and all her wrongdoings in her face. MCE delivered this entire episode brilliantly!

Enjoyed the random Natalia/Petey/Randi/Reese/Bianca. Also nice to see JR/Bianca yell at each other...ha.

Good Krystal/Angie, Angie/Jesse, and Tad/Aiden scenes too.

It's too bad JR didn't do the same to "Binks"! Bianca was the one accusing JR of "rape" without even learning all the facts! I'm glad JR didn't waste his time explaining to "Binks" what happened, & it was an ACCIDENT of the stupid balcony incident! Now, I remember why I can't stand Binks! She' an Idiot, & annoying one at that!

J.R isn't homophobic, he is just as ass. The debate over whether he pushed her or didn't push her will never go away after all of these years LOL. He clearly pushed her off him, she fell into the railing, the railing broke and she fell. He didn't intend to throw her off that balcony because there is no way he could have foreseen the railing breaking like it did but he indirectly caused the fall. Watch the tapes folks.

Melissa Claire Egan was just flawless today. The way she described to Ryan why she did it, the emotion in her voice. MCE sold Annie's desperation like she hasn't to this date and then when she started throwing stuff back at Greenlee, enjoyed that exchange as well. Thank you Pratt for realizing what a gem MCE is and making this character of Annie so damn entertaining errr.... I mean one note B)

The rest of the episode moved well too, I especially enjoyed Angie and Krystal's scenes. DM is love.

I've been a defender of her basically since she same on. Even when she was percieved as boring (which now in retrospect compared to what we have no yes she was very boring), but I have loved the transformation over the last 6 months and watching Melissa show her true acting colors every step of the way. IMO she was one note as "Mother Earth Storyteller" (credit goes to R Sinclair) and now I see her as this multi-dimensional layered character who yes is a crazy bitch, but there are motivations to her craziness and as R Sinclair and I discussed in a previous thread, that is the main difference between the "Hack Pratt" and his hack predecessors, character's actions have motivation behind them.

Before it was like Tad threw Greg Madden in a box....

Now we watched for months how Annie spiraled out of control, losing everything that means most to her and she in her mind had only one way of stopping this and trying to boost her good fortune again. She is crazy for thinking this would work, but that's just it, in her mind it was the only possible way and Pratt has effectively explained that and MCE has sold it in her acting.

Of course all my opinion, but I am just calling it as I see it... looking at things rationally and objectively.

Yeah, didn't JR pretty much call Zoe/Zarf a freak...on several occasions? Actually, thinking back on it, so did Ryan and Adam.

But that was bc they thought he was murdering their friends.

I wonder how JR would act around/with a gay person that doesn't pose a threat to his family.

    • yes. today Monday's episode started with words displayed "part 1" and ended with "to be continued"
    • I find Missy Reeve's views offensive and I don't want to defend her, but I don't think she ever said anything publicly about Days "gay content".   In fact, I don't think she's ever said anything negative about Days at all.  There's no indication Missy is difficult or unprofessional on set-except for the whole affair thing years ago lol-but that's a whole different topic. I can dislike Missy as a person and still think she's the perfect fit for Jen.  Cady tried and it didn't work for me.  Whenever Missy steps into the role it works.  It's a two things can be true situation.  Missy has some bad opinions, but she's great at playing Jennifer.
    • Doesn't the funeral go into Tuesday
    • Christian Streaty wrote her second freelance script today on Days. Surprised they gave the first funeral episode to a newbie.
    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?
    • This is the coldest early June in my life. It's like it's January.
