Are different writers writing different parts of the show bc there was a big continuity error today. Why was Viki so surprised to see that Tina was in Llanview when they were supposedly talking to each other while Viki was away? Tina mentioned that Viki told her about Tess when Tina first realized that Jessica wasnt around. She also has mentioned that Viki asked her several times to look after Jessica. Are we really to believe that now Viki had NO clue that Tina was at Llanfair?

I don't know how I fell about the whole Janet/Lee connection. Part of me loves it, because it does go back to history, but the other part just kind of feels they all sat around the writers table, said "we know the fans say we forgot the history of the show so who is one random character we can tie into the Todd storyline to try and redeem it" and this came up.

It kinda makes me think of when Linda Dano was on the show as her flop ABC cross soap stint and suddenlyw e realized she WAS Grettel from her old character on OLTL--after many fans assumed we were meant to forget this. It felt written in after the fact--and so does this to me. But I like the actress and the character of Janet and am glad for more of her. Are there any clips of her on youtube? There seems to be a lot of 80s OLTL on youtube so surely something's there...

(Of course I've watched most of it and don't remember her, so...)

Today's episode was weird. I have to say--I was entertained. Even while watching it I kept thinking "this is *dumb*" at parts, yet realized I was half loving every moment. So I guess that deserves some praise. But just so much... Like Jared gettign Vicki on the phone and then wasting his time saying "Now this is VERY urgent, ok this is SOOO important, PLEASE listen to what I'm GOING TO SAY SOOON". I woulda shouted "We're behind the bookshelf in the basement!". lol Vicki going down to the basement randomly, then up, then wanting a drink, then not, then wanting food, then not, then thinking things were weird, then not, then thinking Tina was weird, then not, then finally after sayign she wasn't sleepy and didn't want to go to bed--just going to bed? BLAH. Oh and pregnant Tess must be RUNNING down and up from the basemenet--yet Vicki doesn't notice--she just teleports there. Why didn't John SHOW Janet the proof that Todd was a rapist, or explain it all, instead of just saying "I could explain the details maybe...". Todd lurking unseen at the hospital, etc...

Yet... I enjoyed the episode. So I dunno. I kinda liked how gothic and dark it felt--yet campy. Maybe I was just in a more soapy mood today.

That's been going on since the 80's, Eric. Seriously, I do watch OLTL on SoapNet. I didnt understand all the hoopla going with Carlaviti. But oh well I do watch and thats why I comment about the show.

Seriously though....just because I am a fan of OLTL does not mean that I can't be critical of it. Just like how I am a very loyal Democrat and voted for John Kerry in 2004, even though I didn't think he was a very strong candidate. I may complain about OLTL from time to time (e.g. John McBain), but I still watch it each and every day. In other words, just because you like something doesn't mean you can't complain about it.

That said, I still love OLTL.....always have, always will.
