That wasn't Skye's mom. Joanna Yaeger was Althea Patterson's best friend, and rival for Adam's affections. When she got not get Adam, she married Joanna. Then, Joanna plotted to remove Erica from Adam's life.

It was kinds of a convoluted rehash of the Palmer/Myra relationship if you ask me. Whatever did happen to Elizabeth Lawrence?
