Once again, I think the Friday's episode was the best of the week! Unfortunately, that doesn't mean as much this week as last.

I can understand Angie's point of view, having lost her husband and not knowing where Frankie was for so many years. I actually thought the Angie/Taylor scenes were really well done.

I also liked Annie pressing charges against Ryass. I hope Greenlee gets arrested too.

I wish Annie, Babe & Amanda had all slapped Kendall hard. I'm so sick of her Ryan praise and the accusations she was making about Annie's mental health applied equally to herself last year when she framed Greenlee for stealing Spike. It's time for someone in Pine Valley to call Kendall out on her BS and physically take the bitch down!

First - Aiden - your shirt is fierce! I would totally wear that.

Anyway - I wish I could punch Kendall through the TV. She is absolutely nuts. Straight up hypocritical, nosey, judgemental bitch.

After everything that has happened, why in the HELL would Greenlee tell Kendall about calling Aiden Ryan? Dumb!

I actually understand Angie's pain - and totally understand where she is coming from. I thought the Angie/Taylor scenes were great.

Just when I was about to pay Rebecca Taylor a compliment, their she goes with those Taylor and Angie, RyAnnie, Kendall and Annie scenes. Why does one person have to be wrong and the other one right in each and every one of her scripts?

And boy Kendull was on full force today! WTH is she to tell Annie that Ryan had every right to take Emma? Bitch needs to mind her own business and learn when to STFU. Greenlee too.

I largely liked the show. I had just finished reading a New yorker article about two marine brothers who were involved in the war and both commited suicide after they returned and I was kinda surprised at how much of Taylor's stuff they've gotten almost dead on--the overly chearful attitude about wanting to return to the war, the shakes and nightmares, all that obvious stuff, but lotsa the details too (the brothers commited suicide basically because they didn't know how to live in the non war world anymore--that was their PTS disorder--they'd go back as much as the army would take them and then when they couldn't anymore were at a complete loss).

Anyway about the episode--the Angie stuff made perfect sense to me. I thought it was a good ep though I agree not as good as past Friday eps...

I don't know Rebecca Taylor's history on the show to compare with but I thought Friday's scenes between the two made sense and that both were actually right in there way. Maybe Angie's pouring it on hard but she's a mama on the verge and scared out of her considerable mind. Taylor's got her own issues as we know and would rightfully defend military service to the country. I apologize if I misunderstood the context of your comment.

Kendall still grates but she has been for me for a long long time.

Go Annie, Go Annie, Go Annie! I get to root for the "bad" girl and I am wanting to watch someone really go after Ryan. Gonna enjoy the hell out of it I think.

Gosh I think Amanda looks much sexier in man-tailored pants and a blouse than all the Valley of the Dolls garb they've had her wear for years.

I enjoyed the show.

    • Has anyone ever totted up how many women on GL slept with both father and son(s)? Reva gets a lot of crap for it but she's far from the only one: Claire Beth Blake Olivia Dina Did I miss anyone?
    • I think Long was probably planning to have Claire suffer from Post Partum, but she left the writing staff shortly after Claire had Michelle so that element didn't get explored. And I always assumed that when Claire returned in the late 90s/early 00s.. that she was realizing that she messed up by not staying a part of Michelle's life and became resentful/bitter over her previous choices.  That was my theory.
    • Jenn was a huge part of the success of Days back in the day, and that contribution shouldn't be dismissed.  With that said, I do think her and Jack's time on the show should remain as occasional visits/drop ins. When Missy returns to play Jenn, Jenn is back to being Jenn.   Jenn in her glory days was head strong, fiesty, and was a live wire.... and her scenes with Jack on Friday was classic Jenn with Jack being the voice of reason.   It was the foundation of their relationship back in the day.
    • Claire was always tightly wound, I think what Long was going to do is to throw the three into this impossible situation with no bad guys, Mo, knowing how to take care of kids from growing up but unable to conceive and Claire, who didnt know how to take care of kids and was totally focused on her career, gets knocked up.  Ryder took Claire off the deep end as a convenient way to make story for characters he wasnt interested in (though Pratt blames McTavish) with little effort. It was later explained to be a brain tumor (though why was she a bitch again when she returned?) \ Claire did sleep with Rick, she was his first!
    • I'm sorry, truly I am, but this literally made me LOL. Tempting fate, much?

    • Oh, I have very little doubt that Missy feels some way personally and privately.  Donna was just saying she actively spoke out against Days in public in reference to the gay storylines, which she did not. I don't have super strong feeling about Jen one way or another.  She was always a side character to me.  I still think Missy is Jen regardless of her stupid beliefs.
    • I hated the swap-over; Clayton Norcross, to me, was far superior in the role of Thorne than Jeff Trachta ever was. And the recast left me disliking Thorne when he was the superior son to me. As for Teri Ann Linn, I feel like she got the raw deal. Kristen was very clear as a forefronting character, especially in her rivalry with Stephanie, and it feels like she was dropped off for Felicia, and they never returned it. Not to mention the subpar recast with Tracy Melchior in 2001. Someone like Brenda Epperson (ex-Ashley, Y&R) would've been more suited for that role.
    • I just remember when Leo was marrying Craig (?), Greg Rikaart stated a line and made direct eye-contact with Melissa Reeves, and when the camera cut to her, she looked away.

Rikaart had a mission that day, and he succeeded.
