You know, let's take it a different way.

Guza is stale at GH...uninspired. He was once thought great, but now seems to be running on fumes.

A new canvas might energize him. He could break away from the mob because, more or less, there isn't one in Salem. (Oh, he's still got super-villains...but it is a different place).

GH could benefit from innovation. Moreover, I've never heard Guza claimed to be untalented (as I _have_ heard of Higley by some...including Erika Slezak).

That said, musical head writers is just WRONG, and poor DOOL wouldn't need another transition.

But I feel this is all smoke and mirrors. My gut says this is spumor, and won't go anywhere.

I'm kinda on the fence about Guza writing DAYS.

He could write the big events DAYS fans have been longing for....but...

he could also turn DAYS into a souless heartless town with sluts and mobsters filling up the canvas.

I shutter to about what he would do to Bo and Hope, since they are um you know cops.

I think GH is unwatchable and I don't remember Guza doing very well with Sunset Beach either. GH needs a new headwriter whp can give the show a heart and a soul. DAYS doesn't need Guza now. If they are looking for a new headwriter they should consider Jack F. Smith and Sally Morina. They would make a great team. Lorraine Broderick is also available. Why Guza?
