I think it was a change in storyline direction. I'm not buying Prescott was let go because of money. They got both James and Dusty back? Something smells fishy. Someone open up the windows and let out the smell.

I wouldn't doubt that they needed to free up some money to pay for these returns and they looked to see who was expendable because their story wasn't working. I also think given the opportunity they would much prefer to throw Dusty in between Lily and Holden than Mike I wouldn't be surprised in the next few weeks to hear another actor or two is out that isn't a major character. It seems to me they have at least noticed the positive reaction to using some more of the vets and history and they are working to return to that. The ratings tanked after they lost so many people and focused on newbies.

No! I love Pinson in that role too much...shes one of those actresses that seems to want to build a career in daytime but never gets the right roles, whilst TIIC seem to worship the actors that obviously only see soaps as a gig between other jobs (Sarah Brown, Rebecca Budig, I'm looking at you here!). If Pinson was to leave ATWT then OLTL should grab her to play Cassie, but I enjoy the Janet character, she's a breath of fresh air amongst all the drab Oakdalians.
