A person would think... if the soap is #1, and has the biggest budget or something, at least they could update the opening... all other shows find the time to change from time to time, but #1 doesn't? Something's wrong here. Maybe they're spending all of their money on those "celebrities" they invite for Restless Style or something.

right? honeslty i know they have the most complex opening of all the soaps, but is it honestly that hard to update? dont they have a team of people that do this for them? and B&B has images over images and chances the color up and adds names and they do it in a flash. so... i just dont understand.

Y&R HAS ALWAYS been bad with updating it's openings, this isn't a recent trend.

But I definitely want a new formatted opening. I'm sick of this one, it's worn out its welcome after 5 years. David Shaughnessy gave us this opening when the show celebrated it's 35th Anniversary in 2003. Maybe if we get a new EP (because Josh Griffith needs to go), he or she will either update this one or give us a new one completely.

Michelle Stafford returned in 2000, and she was never added, and that opening lasted until 2003.

As for the porn theme, it was OK then, but I don't want it back. The classic version of Nadia's Theme is too identified with Y&R, and a lot of people were turned off by that rendition of the song at the time.

They've used several versions of Nadia's Theme over the years, but most have been rearranged in a more classical tradition, which is what I want.

It really isn't that hard for them to insert a couple of actors. I'd LOVE it if they had all the contract cast in the opening, and make, like, 5 different openings or something. But they just won't do that.

I'm one of those people. I love the classic arrangement of Nadia's Theme. Seriously, it gives me goosebumps, especially when it launches into the melodic main instrumental. LOL, I always associate Michael Grazadei's credit (where he's running across the screen) with that bit.

The porn theme? Eh. It would make a good closing credit. But it was all too 80s Rawk for me.

ok, let's discuss the sorasing of Summer...just last month she actually walked for the first time on screen...down the aisle at her Grandfather's wedding with her mother walking behind just to make sure she made it without a detour.... and now she looks to be about 4 years old!!!

so does this mean that Nick and Phyllis have been married 4 years ???? or did Phyllis have Summer two years before Saint Cassie died???

And I suspect it is to usher in some SORASing elsewhere -- namely Noah and perhaps even that lovely little Abby.

some fans get a little crazy when it comes to their favorite characters, and sorasing has always been a sore issue with some, it is hard to say exactly how old a character is or how much time has passed...Nick is a prime example, he goes off to boarding school as a 8 or 9 year old and comes back as a 17 year old character by hunky Joshua Morrow!!!
