July 19, 200817 yr Member ^She was last a story consultant on B&B, right? Anyway, maybe Bradley could be both Executive Producer of B&B and Y&R at the same time now that it looks like Griffith is gone shortly? Bill Bell was B&B's EP for its first couple of years, while maintaining his Senior Executive Producer title at Y&R. If that does happen, I could possibly see John F. Smith back at Y&R in some capacity, since Alden is the chosen one at B&B. Edited July 19, 200817 yr by Y&RWorldTurner
July 19, 200817 yr Member ^She was last a story consultant on B&B, right? Yes, you pointed it out correctly: she started her writing career in 1981 and remained a SW for Y&R for 6 years. Then after several other writing stints, she returner to B&B as an executive storyline consultant. She's been MIA ever since. I have no idea why Guza hasn't hired her... But that doesn't mean Kay Alden has to be HW - what on Earth gave him that idea?! Here's a quote from Lemay describing Paul Rauch: Paul Rauch was a completely different sort of man: self-assured to the point of arrogance, inventive, articulate, and above all, obsessed that whatever he produced surpass everything else on the air in quality and in ratings. This would then make him an ideal EP for Y&R. However, during all these years he might have changed quite a lot. My choice would be Shaughnessy, but that's not going to happen obviously. July 19, 200817 yr Member I have no idea where she is now, but I heard only complimentary things about her and her writing. If I ain't mistaken, Meg wrote the Terror Island and Shockwave storyline on Sunset Beach.
July 19, 200817 yr Member If I ain't mistaken, Meg wrote the Terror Island and Shockwave storyline on Sunset Beach. She was head writer from October 1997 and after four months was joined by Christopher Whitesell as co-HW. She was fired during the summer of 1998. Does that mean she wrote those stories?
July 19, 200817 yr Member She was head writer from October 1997 and after four months was joined by Christopher Whitesell as co-HW. She was fired during the summer of 1998. Does that mean she wrote those stories? Who else? ... I actually don't know for sure. Terror Island started December, ended January, while she was sole HW. Shockwave started just as Meg was fired. I guess that goes to either Whitesell or Maggie DePriest.

July 19, 200817 yr Member So you don't like Meg? Here's the Shockwave plot and here's Terror Island. I never said that. There isn't a storyline that I didn't like on Sunset Beach. It was my first and probably will be my favorite forever, even though I like others.
July 19, 200817 yr Member No. I want an answer - like or dislike. I'm a bit jumpy, sorry... Yes, of course I like it. SB was great.
July 19, 200817 yr Member I'm a bit jumpy, sorry... Yes, of course I like it. SB was great. No need to apologize! I just didn't understand whether you mentioned those two storylines as examples of good or bad storytelling. And I'm still not sure.
July 19, 200817 yr Member I liked 'em. Did you like it? I don't even know if you followed Sunset Beach. What did you think of it? Ooops... talk about off-topic...

I bet people won't believe it, but I did! We can talk about it in the Sunset Beach thread. Y&RWorldTurner won't believe it, but Meg is repped by Paradigm (same as Latham!).
July 19, 200817 yr Member ETA: With both Bell shows headed by FiCores (Alden at B&B, MAB/Sheffer at Y&R), what will the CONSEQUENCES of this be? A very good question a lot of us would like to know the answer to.
