Just discovered that Mel and Ethel Brez wrote the NBC pilot "Roxy' that starred Janice Lynde .Janice was hoping this would take her off Y&R but unfortunately was not picked up.

 

Also, Kathleen Turner commented in an interview about her scene by Virginia's bed side as her mother was dying.

Kathleen drew on her emotions of  when her father passed and went all out in the scene, feeling pleased with her acting until she saw it onscreen and thought it came across badly.

She said she learnt not to draw on her own emotions for a character.

As of the April 10 1978 ep Mel & Ethel Brez are no longer in the credits. They always got a 'story by' credit which previous headwriters did not. So at the moment the daily writers are credited. Linda Grover is the next headwriter so it will be interesting to see how she is credited.

How is Kathleen Turner as Nola so far?  

I think Turner has had a rocky start, as the writing and Turner's acting choices make me wish Kathryn Harold was still in the role. 

Hi everyone. I’m new here. I love The Doctors and have been watching it on YouTube. They took down all the episodes and I’m stuck in 1969 and want to continue. Anyone know where I can find episodes on line? Please help.

There was Grover interview posted many pages back. She had a lot of ideas so it will be interesting to see how it pans out.

Swoosie Kurtz turned up this week as Gail, a wacky receptionist.

 

Linda Grover's influence is showing up - we had a hospital based scene with extras as patients ! A show called "The Doctors' showing them at work!!

Peggy Cass/ Sweeny has made her debut.  On the 5/9/78-7/2/19 episode. 

I watch Peggy on BUZZR reruns of To Tell The Truth. I also loved her in the 1961 film Gidget Goes Hawaiian. 

A few years after Peggy left TD, she endured a real life hospital nightmare:
