I'm a bit concerned now that we've still had no news on the renewal. Filming for the initial 400 episode commission is due to be completed by April. Presumably they still write 3 months ahead (at least they always did in the past from memory) which means renewal really needs to be decided by January at the latest. I'm wondering how close to the wire it is.

How soon before are other shows like Days renewed? I saw that it was renewed for its 61st season in 2025, and it looks like the renewal happened in November 2024, but I don't know when filming was due to cease for the last commission, does anyone know?

Shane Isheev leaving also makes me wonder.

Me too. It's very unsettling not knowing anything.

Honestly, watching the show pre-Shane Isheev is kind of refreshing. As for the 2011/social media, it's clear the person in-charge of their social media isn't paying attention. 🤣 And the Digital Spy article full-out confirms: the show has been a success on Prime Video in the UK, and again: it earned Daytime Emmy nominations. I'm not concerned one bit.

I'll admit, I'm not worried either. On the subject of Emmy nominations, I do hope they really go for it this year. I recall an interview with someone involved in the show (I'm guessing the EP or Headwriter) and they said they didn't find out until the last minute that they were even eligible so they didn't submit in many categories. I'd love to see them get nominations across the various categories. Things like Writing and Directing seem like no brainers and with the right reel I could see multiple actors getting nominations. I feel like Georgie Stone and Majella Davis would be the two women I'd really push and Ryan Moloney and Stefan Dennis for the men.

Matt Wilson is someone I'd nominate for his work as Aaron surrounding the death of David. And I'd love to see Rebekah Elmaloglou be nominated, as well, as both have done outstanding work.

Elmaloglou's work in the scene(s) above are some Emmy worthy material you'd see from American actresses. And I can only imagine how much better the scenes would've been had the production not looked so green. But yes, I'm hoping they're more prepared for the 2025 Daytime Emmys, because they are more than worthy of being included, once again, for some outstanding work this past year.

Oh I 100% agree on both of those! Rebecca Elmaloglou is amazing even in the smallest throwaway scene. She is one of the main reasons I got hooked on Neighbours.

I've loved her since she debuted and I watched her in 2023, ahead of its return.... she is a powerhouse!!! Love me some Terese.
