So, at the suggestion of two amazing people, I've jumped from 2014 to 2018, and whew... what a change in everything. From production and production value, sets, cast, stories, pacing, energies....  I love it.  Yes, I am missing a lot, but I can always go back to watching.  Prime Video won't be removing anything anytime soon.

That means that they have 4 whole months filmed by that time . That’s good

And it will be one-hundred times better than the six-to-eight months advanced filming Days of Our Lives produces.

Putting aside the amazing new streaming infrastructure, this sort of stuff is always where the European, etc. soaps put what's left of the US ones to shame. GH won't be introducing a multiracial family let alone visible LGBT parents any time this decade.

Not just General Hospital but American soaps in-general. I've stated this before and I will state it again: the structure of an American DAYTIME soap opera does not work anymore. At all.

I would highly recommend going back to the beginning of 2017. January to May 2017 is brilliant.

I fully intend on re-visiting the years I skipped at some point in the future.  But skipping ahead is to ensure I can watch the September debut.

Good idea. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

I wonder if there are any personal reasons she never went back.

Anyway, the Neighbours Nerd account on Youtube (always worth watching) is back with a bunch of good awards-based material. A quick promo.

I am going to start watching Neighbours since I have Prime, and it sounds very good. Is 2012 the best year to start with?

2012 is not a great year overall, one of the worst, which seems ironic given they started with it. But it depends on what you like. If you like character-driven storylines, 2012 is good, but it's not exciting. If you prefer more plotty stuff, I'd go to 2013, 2014 or 2015. If you like a mixture of the two, I'd say beginning of 2017 is a good place to start.
