Members Y&RWorldTurner
It's amazing and horrible how much Lucy Allan has ruined and totally re-written the character of Josh. I can see why Marquess is getting rid of the character, he's been damaged beyond recognition, IMO.
Members BadBoy93
If Marquess does start on Monday then i will definately be tuning in.If you look on Digital Spy and see the preview for Next Week,it looks a lot more exciting.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
I don't know if he'll be credited on Monday, but apparently, he'll be in the credits next week according to the Radio Times. But again, we probably won't see his actual stories for another two months, he has to finish off Allan's crap. Members BadBoy93
Never the less i will tune in on Monday to wave Allen goodbye while aiming my sniper rifle at the back of her skull. I reckon Kirkwood will start in the start of May...i can smell it.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
I should just start a thread listing the air dates for the first episode in which Marquess, Kirkwood, and Collinson (Corrie's soon to be Series Producer) will be credited. Members Bright Eyes
Splendid. What thoughts do you have on Corrie's new producer? I haven't heard much. Edited April 17, 2010 by Amello
Members Y&RWorldTurner
I think it should be good. Collinson had no problems admitting what a HUGE Corrie fan he is years before he even got this job. He was, of course, also series producer for Dr. Who for a while. I'm very optimistic about his future at Corrie.
Members Chris B
Even if his stories aren't in play, it'll be interesting to see how he tweaks Allan's work.
Members BadBoy93
With 2 new families in and most of the deadwood leaving,I think things will look pretty high when Marquess gets into gear.

Members Y&RWorldTurner
Here's an interest old article/interview I found with Paul Marquess. http://www.thefreelibrary.com/AXEMAN+OF+SOAP%3B+Sacking+stars+is+just+a+job+for+Paul+Marquess.-a080420646 Edited April 19, 2010 by Y&RWorldTurner
Members DRW50
I'm not sure why he was bewildered that the judge who sentenced his attackers was black. That's awful, what happened to him. I didn't realize he was only around 40. He looks a bit older in the photo I've seen. Maybe it's from what happened to him. The funny thing is that the Musgrove family he axed -- their son Matt went on to appear on Hollyoaks for several years, he was the love interest for Chloe, their comic relief/quasi-serious overweight character who was on the show for about 4-5 years. The actress who played her wrote a book a few years ago, something like The Fat Girl Off Hollyoaks.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
I think he meant that it was ironic that someone from another traditionally repressed minority group sentenced his ignorant attackers.
Members DRW50
Have you ever read any of the Hollyoaks books they wrote years ago? Some seem interesting. There was one that was all about various e-mails sent back and forth between the characters on the show at the time; someone hacked into their accounts and would sometimes pass on e-mails to someone else who was being talked about in them, if he wanted to stir up trouble. It was a good way of recapping stories and giving character insights. I wish they still did that now. Then again I don't think I'd care about Anita's Secret Diary.
