I just got around to reading an interview Patrick Mulcahey gave to a Santa Barbara site last year, it appears he really hated working with Agnes Nixon during the short time they spent together, I guess Marland probably had similar feelings about her in the end...

How did you start in Santa Barbara ?

Thereby hangs a tale. After working with Douglas Marland on Guiding Light and then on Loving, which I hated (and where Agnes Nixon was like some psychotic schoolmarm on speed, making copious condescending red-pen "corrections" in the margins of scripts - "You used the same word on page 2 and on page 34 ! Too repetitive !") - after that, I decided I was done with writing for soaps. Douglas was the best. He'd taught me more about writing than any ten literature professors ever could have, plus I'd won an Emmy. I figured I'd never have another experience like that, so I decided go back to what I knew best : waiting on tables and writing plays at night and being a starving artist again....

I remember reading about this in a Digest done around the time of filming. Todd as Elvis:

Maybe they were estranged at the time.

I'm still surprised to see Ann in these clips.

It's too bad they didn't hold on to Egypt longer, she and Ava both really pop off the screen.

This triangle is kind of dull but is the only way I've ever seen any Loving of this era.

I LOVED Loving.. I remember snow days and being out and counting down until 12:30 came on. I even enjoyed the City (as it started in high school) and then Port Charles... Aww the memories

Who is the woman with the longer hair? Is that Abril?

I can see why this triangle wasn't popular. Both men behave horribly.

It looks like that is Scott Feraco, Jeff #1. It's neat to see Jeff when he was written as a psychotic interloper in the Trisha / Trucker story. I know Trucker and Trisha were a beloved couple, but it seems like Trucker was simply playing a Steve Sowolsky recast. I think it would have been more interesting if they kept Jeff's original characterization (brash, arrogant heir to a media empire who was looking to prove he was more than his legacy) and made Trucker the crazy one.

I almost wonder if that may have been planned at one point, as the actor had played a mentally ill man on ATWT right before being hired.

I remember her sort of low, sultry, speaking voice, like she had Baileys in her mouth. One of her early episodes was some sort of gala, I can't remember whose arm she was hanging on all night, but everything that came out of her mouth sounded very sensual.

*Didn't she audition for some high profile role on GH or something? Or was that CT and Karen Wolek...

That was CT.

I like your description of her. It's odd that the show didn't do more with her.
