Well, the legalities are almost secondary at this point. Even if she can privately adopt Starr's baby, she's crazy to do it. As you said, too much has happened. Why on Earth would Marcie invite further trouble from Todd. Plus, if Starr knows who has her baby, she's bound to feel a pull every time she runs into Marcie and Starrlet in the park. Mike better step in before Marcie screws up their lives all over again.

I think most of us who have expressed some disappointment agreed that it's too soon to render a final determination. You're right, it's only been a few episodes. But I don't think this is what we were expecting, so perhaps disappointment may be too strong a word. I wasn't even particularly looking forward to Tina's return, but after month's of hearing Sarah complain that her mother was MIA and not having too much nice to say about her, I wasn't expecting total capitulation from Sarah and a tearful reunion. I find conflict more entertaining than heartstrings, personally. And I thought Sarah and Tina's scenes were good when they were alone. But the rest of it seemed to be more about setting up conflict between Cristian and Tina. I guess I am more taken aback than disappointed really. And I still think there were more interesting places to utilize the character. JMO.

I wouldn't mind being kept prisoner by Todd, but I'm afraid he'd bring me back home after a hour or two.

Todd & Marty --> GREAT

I hope she falls in love with him now that she doesn't remember anything about the rape etc. This is very convenient.

Was Cristian always like this? Why did he act like that with Tina?

Tahlia and Antonio... I really don't care about these two anymore. The Marko-Langston stuff was also very boring. As for Starr and Cole... I like him better than I like her but they both remind me of characters of that dreadful Canadian show called Hillside. Perhaps Starr could become the new Ambassador of Mendora or something...

Another thing I don't like is what Dorian wears. I doupt that a woman in her position would wear this clothes.

I missed yesterday (!) ... first one I've missed in weeks. So I have a few comments on Wednesday lol.

I have read here and on other boards from newer viewers who have been impressed with Kristen Alderson lately, comments to the effect that the actress has improved and started to get better. As a longtime viewer, I have to say that it's more a case of her going back to her old self. Growing up on the show, KA was always a fantastic child actress, right into her teens. She was absolutely superb back in 2005 when Starr and Todd thought that Blair had died in a crushed car (!) due to Margaret Cochran. I only thought she got annoying over the past year or so, in the wake of Cole. Now, ever since she told off Todd, KA seems to be back to the wonderful actress she always used to be.

Can I just say: Kassie DePaiva is hot?! She was rocking that white skirt on Wednesday. Her face also looked flawless. I love how she can sometimes look her age (but VERY good for her age), and other times about 10 years younger! I loved the Cramers and David, great comic relief, but also serious since it's Addie's future. Although Addie seems to know what she's doing!

I loved Clint, Bo, and Nora, because I thought all of the reactions were true to character. Hot headed Clint WOULD be the angriest of the bunch. I think he has a right to be livid, but I don't feel too bad if they are going to buckled under to Natalie's threat so easily. If they are going to cave like that, then more power to Natalie. I am still disgusted by her character's blind devotion to Jared, but Melissa Archer has been fantastic!

When I found out how old Kassie was I was shocked. She looks amazing it's crazy to think that she's 10 years older than Trevor.

ICAM, Starr and her crazy family(the lovely Cramer/Manning/Lord clan) were the reason I got hooked on this show. I remember watching the scene where Margaret came after Starr at the Sun and Starr found out that Margaret was pregnant and watching where Starr called Magraret a crazy bitch, thinking this girl was like no young character I had scene on tv. She was smart, strong, and didn't take crap from anyone(and wasn't afraid to say what she wanted when she wanted too). That's why even though some people are annoyed with how she is acting now I'm happy because she has finally gotten her backbone back and is fighting for what she believes in(however ill advised it may be). I don't agree with Cole's reasoning but I'm also glad that he's standing up for himself and not just letting her walk all over him. Now that I think about it are there any real weak characters on this show? At the moment I can't think of one and that's such a rarity these days in daytime to have strong characters; especially strong female characters.

    • I like that there are a lot of local performers on this soap and I'm glad they've resisted so far on hiring too many soap performers.   Cady has been awkward on the show thus far and Jon seems to have polarizing as well. I say focus on the local talent and giving those people a job and exposure.. and leave the P & G soap opera performers in the past.
    • Who do you think would be good for the show among the ATWT/GL cast?

about it I think Jan is a fine supporting part for a solid daytime vet (probably someone from the P&G soaps), as opposed to someone from the production location who is clearly cheaper. Which seems to govern some casting. I get the rationale, but I would start going through the ATWT/GL, etc. rolodex myself.
    • I dont mind Jan. She's good in the minor capacity she is used.
    • tbqh I don't care about Jan, I don't care about Ashley and I think Jon Lindstrom as Joey is an acquired taste. Jon is a great actor but certain things are in his zone and then some are not. Some days I find Joey credible and compelling, but the stuff with him hanging around the Golden Corral, grumbling about Doug and bitching at Randy is not amazing. If he had material on par with what MVJ wrote for Ryan/Kevin on GH back in the day it'd be a different story. I do think he has real chemistry with Vanessa, which is in large part due to MVJ clearly molding that character (and hiring an appropriate actor) in the Lucy Coe vein when she reinvented Lucy in the '90s as well. But I am not here to spend 6+ months watching Jon glower a lot (which is what he's doing half the time to carry weak story) and make more vague dire pronouncements while Jen Jacob gets flustered and weepy over "Daddy" or whatever would come of that storyline. Putting them together sounds like a recipe for doom to me. But I may be in the minority on that.
    • I know this will never happen. But... Halle Berry as Dani Dupree(BTG). She would rock this role, it's in her wheelhouse.
    • When I see how bad the Ashley/Derek scenes are, I know there must be a larger purpose and Joey being her father is the thing that makes the most sense.  My take on it is that Ashley knows Joey is her father but doesn't know Joey. Maybe he was there when she was a child or just not around at all but I believe Jan when she says she didn't lie to her daughter about who her father was. Maybe she left him when she discovered his dangerous lifestyle.  I do think they could really jump start the character of Ashley if they hurry and do this. Jan is a great character and her scenes with Ashley have been helpful. This would further integrate Ashley into the canvas and give her something dramatic to do. With her working at the hospital along with Doug, it could lead to complications if she learns Doug is involved with her father. I just need is sooner rather than later because Derek is tanking her character. I need a distraction.
