I don't believe they have. Does Blair even know that she's the product of rape? Cause I always thought she knew, and that why she hated Dorian when she first came to town.

Yeah, Blair knows.

Huh. I thought he was the Chinese gardener (hence why they cast Mia Korf) and it was the rape that caused Addie to be committed in the first place.

he was an asian doctor or orderly who worked at the mental clinic that Addie was in and raped her

I'm gonna have to call my mom and ask her if she remembers what happened. Cause I always thought she was raped by a guard at the Mental Institution she was at.

That's right, it was an orderly at the clinic. I wonder through, will they still keep him Asian? As I said earlier in the thread, I think KDP could pass for a biracial mix of Asian/Caucasian.

I stand corrected.

Where the hell did I get "gardener" from? I must have gotten it from a book or another show or something.

Frankly, I'm happy Blair is no longer half-Asian. To me, that backstory (of the Asian doctor raping a fragile Caucasian woman in a sanitarium) always felt racist and wrong.

I just didn't understand the need for it.

Although knowing ABC, they thought the easiest way to solve the "we're-not-diverse-enough" issue was to create a ridiculous back story for an Asian Cramer nobody knew existed in the first place.

I friggin loved the Rex/Charlie/Roxy scenes. It's really nice to see a character who has been lied to by another character vent that anger at said character. I don't think we see that much on shows anymore. I just loved all the drama and realness of the scenes. I sure do like Susan Haskell but I sure don't think I can watch John and Marty. How come they didn't show Adrianna and Layla sharing a goodbye? They are best friends. I loved Tina's entrance. Man, oh man I didn't realize how much I missed her until she was back.

JPL!! Rex had it going on today, sticking it to the people who hurt him. I'll always love Roxy, but it was good for him to put her down, to make her realize that this mistake of hers really, really hit him. I think a lot of his anger comes from finding this out while also going through the problems with Adriana.

I don't think I'd be against a Roxy/Charlie pairing one bit. Viki would probably [!@#$%^&*] a brick, but she can get over it, I think. She can have some to-mah-to soup.

The whole pregnancy thing...eh. I don't think I've ever given my take on it, so here goes: Everybody in the situation (Starr, Cole, Todd, Blair) is a clunkhead. I am SO glad Starr mentioned today that Cole didn't "get her pregnant," that they both played an equal part in it. Neither Starr nor Cole are stupid enough to not know that having sex without protection sometimes results in pregnancy. So, they're both to blame for that. Todd is an irrational [!@#$%^&*], and I don't think I have to go into why he's a clunkhead. Blair, meanwhile, continued to let Todd live in the house and have excessive control over Starr. I fully believe that Blair had put her foot down in the beginning (when Todd took Starr out of school, etc.), there wouldn't have been any violence against teenagers or people falling down steps or dumbasses named Keys breaking into DORIAN LORD's house.

Truth be told, Markko and Langston shouldn't have lied to Dorian. They shouldn't have played a part in any of Starr and Cole's mess, but the thing I like about Langston and Markko is that they acknowledge their mistakes and seem to learn from them.

And also, am I the only one believes that keeping the whole thing a secret from Todd is going to come back to bite EVERYONE in the ass?

Also: I continue to enjoy the Brody, Gigi, Shane dynamics. The more I see Brody and Shane together, the more I wish that Brody really was his father. I can already see Brody fighting his growing attachment to the kid, and it works so well because I pegged Brody to be a big old softy since his first appearance.

Loved Marcie entertaining folks at her home. I'm glad Adriana offered apologies for being Bitchy Bangs to her, and I'm actually sad to see old girl hit the road. I would say that Gigi needs to tell Rex and Shane the truth NOW, but I don't know so much about that. She should wait, I think, until Rex isn't all brooding over being lied to by Roxy, Charlie, and Adriana. But as soon as the timing is right, she finally needs to come off it and tell the truth.

I wa thinking the same thing relating to Adriana/Layla. It seems odd that they didn't show final scenes between the two of them.

To answer an earlier question, Blair hated Dorian because she THOUGHT Dorian had abused Addie as a child, when in reality, Addie and Melinda had abused Dorian, locked her in closets, etc. When Blair found out the truth, she apologized to Dorian, and they have been fiercely loyal and close to one another ever since.

ETA: For those who are interested, Kassie DePaiva got Performer of the Week in the new SOD. I'm expecting OLTL to get Editors' Choice next week for Dorian's takeover and the Nash death stuff.

One HUGE complaint about today!

Adrianna is leaving for Paris, narrowly escaping a divorce (for now). WHERE WERE MY ADRIANNA/LAYLA scenes? Adrianna goes to see Marcie? Why Marcie? So Marcie can wait five seconds after she leaves to tell Gigi the coast is clear? My Marcie hate has risen to new heights. Yes Adrianna was a bitch to Marcie. But she did risk prosecution (for something, surely) by keeping the secret about Tam. She endured Blairs rath as a result. Marcie seemed to genuinely forgive her, but then she cut her off at the knees as soon as she left.

I really wanted Adrianna to have a conversation with Layla, so Layla could pick up the torch and carry on the Gigi torment in Adrianna's absence. That would give Layla more story, possibly give me more Delayla (Dorian and Layla), and increase the potential for some Brayla (Brody/Layla) action. Seeeeething! Plus I've loved the Layla/Adrianna scenes, and it seems such a gross omission.

As I said before, I was a HUGE fan of the Marcie/Adriana scenes. But today was Melissa's last day?! I don't read spoilers. If that's the case, then you're absolutely right - those shouldn't have been her last scenes. Leyla should have been involved.
