I want Erica to kick some a$$

Once she gets out of solitary confinement, I want her to play some tricks and basically get her revenge on those women who threatened her life to the point where she had to be tucked away in isolation like that-UGH! Erica is a model prisoner and should never have this kind of treatment. Let's see an a$$ kicking and take some names Erica Kane in prison!

First - DIXIE :) I love me some Dixie.

Second - LOVED Greenlee today with Jack - she is totally acting like her old self. Going back to her roots - when I loved her the best!

Loving Erica's solitary confinement stuff - she is doing great.

I really like Cassandra - I'm surprised a Top Model contestant (didn't watch her season though) is doing such a great job...go YaYa! Loving the Hubbards...

I was a little nervous that Erica's scenes would be over the top, but they were done well. A lot better than I expected.

The Hubbard family stuff has been delightful this week. To be honest, Angie and Jesse have annoyed me more than they haven't during this return - but not this week.

Loved today's show.

Yaya is a good actress. She makes me believe she actually grew up with Frankie as her big brother.

Loved Frankie & Cassandra and Colby & JR. Good stuff.

ETA: I forgot Kendall & Josh which I loved as well. I think Addie Walsh is the most in tune with the audience, as evidenced by Kendall's "do I know you?" reaction to Josh.

If only the possibility of Tomlin and Pratt wasn't on the horizon :(

David Canary is the ONLY good part of the GhostDixie ish.

Susan Lucci was awesome today

Greenlee needs to STFU when it comes to Erica, and the writers I'm sure wonder WHY she continues to be so hated? Today is a prime example why

Kendall & Josh, love them

Zen

Aidan continues to be a clueless idiot

I haven't even watched it yet and I'm all verklempt by the Live threads over my poor Erica freaking out about being alone. I knew this was going to happen. She kept putting up this brave front for everyone but everytime Jack asked her how she was doing she never answered and would make a joke or change the subject. I knew once alone, it all would come out..<sniff> SL ROCKS! :)

I heard she had a dream about her with her kids and then one with her and her Jackson. I can't wait to see them :wub: Love that Carmen and how she ran to tell Jack what happened..I can't wait untill they see one another

A good show today!! :)

First the Erica scenes were well written and acted. I enjoyed the Erica/Ladybug scenes. I think thats the Erica we all want sometimes. Addie Walsh did a good job today.

The Jesse/Angie/Cassandra/Frankie scenes were excellent. Cassandra saying that she is the one for her mother.

Greenlee/Jackson scenes=TWO thumbs UP! :D

Zendall

Loved erica, the hubbards, josh/kendall and the chandlers today. Why hasn't josh gone to visit erica yet? Its like erica/josh aren't mother and son anymore. Loving cassandra she is great in this role. I hope adam doesn't end up in the nuthouse, because it seems as though thats where it could lead. Poor erica, its time to free erica now!

I'm more convinced than ever that Agnes is ghostwriting the show. That was classic AMC all around!

I loved the sibling bonding between JR & Colby, Josh & Kendall and Frankie & Cassandra.

Erica's ladybug soliloquy could have been over the top but the writing was excellent in how it revealed her fears of giving up hope. I also loved her romantic fantasy about Jack.

Greenlee is indeed back to her self-centered ways and I for one am thrilled to see her written in character again.

I just can't praise this episode enough. If only every day were this great!

    • There has been some confusion about Michael & facial burns. Please see this post: https://bsky.app/profile/shallotpeel.bsky.social/post/3lqkrryu54226 I've chosen to put this here instead of the Classic Thread because it is now with the appearance of recast Michael that this has come up. Different places online, including at least one podcast, remarks have been made about how remarkable it is that he is without facial scarring. Other fans say it was clear from the first that he did not have facial burns. What is included in this post is 2 screengrabs where you can see his face at the hospital & a very quick edit of that day in the hospital.
    • Put me in the LOVE KMH camp. As a poster alluded to above, her detractors seem to come from people who first experienced the 80s Emily actress. And that's often the case with soaps, myself included. I enjoy the original actor so much that I just never take to the recast. However, KMH played Emily far longer than the original - for almost 20 years - and when she had great material, she was great. I get the sense she didn't like playing the whiny oh-woe-is-me Emily which was all the material she got from about 1996 until she took over the Intruder in late '99/early '00 and got to play a stronger kiss-ass woman who didn't care what anyone thought of her. (Some would call that a bitch but, if a man was in that role, he'd just be called a smart and savvy businessman.) Her relationship with Hal was great. The transformation was done realistically and I thoroughly enjoyed those years the best out of all. Once the writers decided to break up those two, they went back to writing Emily half the time as whiny and pathetic. I preferred when the writers made her stronger.
    • Hahaha - I do. I've always been the type, though, that can't miss anything. I get FOMO, so I'll not skip episodes or fast forward anything. There are only a few TV shows I've dropped because they got so bad vs. sticking it out to the end.  The promise that GL 1997 is better is what keeps me going. I especially want to see the fallout of Blake's lie about her twins and then Annie's descent which I believe won Watros's Emmy.
    • Rita's rape is an episode i constantly search on YouTube hoping one day that it will show up. I always feel like I may have seen it, but I was only 6 at the time and can never figure any of the things I have vague recollection of

    • The rape was in 1979 after they were married. Blake was the result of Holly cheating with him while she was married to Ed. I believe she was born in 1975.
    • No. Ed and Holly were married and having problems. She had an affair with Roger and that's when Christina--Blake--was conceived. The rape happened much later, after Holly and Roger were married.
