April 29, 200817 yr Member QUOTE (Chris B @ Apr 29 2008, 03:28 PM) It's a good sign for what B&B can do post Flannery if they allow Katherine Kelly Lang to continue on this path of maturing Brooke. Oh, you know that won't last long...
April 29, 200817 yr Member I actually think Brooke has been on an upswing since the strike. When she tried her usual trick of jumping back to Nick when Bridget wanted him, she was shut down and finally called out on her bullshit. They've also been featuring her more as a mother and a sister, with no love interest in sight. I think this is all a huge, huge improvement for the character. Now if they'd only give Ridge to Ashley and allow Brooke to be single for a (long) while.

April 30, 200817 yr Member I cant beleive they showed the surgery with hte bloody heart. That was graphic and not something I expected. Why were the family allowed to watch the surgery take place? I wouldnt think that was possible nor would I want to see it if I were in their position Great episode though
April 30, 200817 yr Member Not to mention, the surgeons operating in near darkness would freak. me. the. hell. out. The darkness worked well for the other scenes though.
April 30, 200817 yr Administrator I cant beleive they showed the surgery with hte bloody heart. That was graphic and not something I expected. I didn't expect it either. I think that was the most graphic surgery on daytime I've ever seen. Usually we don't even see the surgery on soaps. Great episode though especially the ending with Brooke putting Storm's coat on Donna.
April 30, 200817 yr Author Member Are you people telling me you thought showing the heart was actually a negative aspect of the episode? Or am I just reading you wrong? Edited April 30, 200817 yr by YRBB

April 30, 200817 yr Author Member I liked it.....I just didn't expect it for a daytime show. Gotcha, thanks Toups. I didn't expect it either, some great, primetime-y production values there! It almost felt like GREY'S or E.R.! Edited April 30, 200817 yr by YRBB
April 30, 200817 yr Author Member Another very good episode. Liked the attention they gave to the medical part of the story, although that was kind of tossed away towards the end there, I think. Also nice to see that they paid attention to making sure that Felicia is with the kids. I liked the scene between Brooke and Ridge just before she took a shower (how many new sets have they made?). It is in those quiet scenes and moments that I see great emotion, love between them. Katherine Kelly Lang was, once again, just amazing. Nice to see Stephanie again and I liked how Eric likened her to Storm. The note-reading scene was sad and Heather Tom really nailed the scene when she realized what Storm had done for her.
April 30, 200817 yr Member It's sad that B&B was never going to be WdV's place to shine, but honestly, if you're not part of the Bermuda-Love Triangle you really don't have a place on that show. I hate to say it, but it was almost worth losing Storm in order to see KKL be able to kick it up a notch.
May 1, 200817 yr Member I liked the scene with Stephen with Storm. Some piece of closure on the fathering problem. Glad that Patrick Duffy is back.
May 1, 200817 yr Author Member ^^^Yes, Patrick Duffy was very good when he saw Storm's body... Very sad:( Oh My God, Katie doesn't want the heart!
