Members danfling
The above article mentions the first executive producer, George Lefferts. I wonder why he left the show so soon after its premiere (only a few months).

Members danfling
Is that actor Michael Beck (The Warriors) playing the worker at Frank's campaign office?
Members safe
Frank's campaign office? In which episode? Michael Beck was seen at hospital strike headquarters in a November of 1977 episode. Danfling - check your personal messages. Members DRW50
It's in the clip I posted, toward the end.
Members safe
Thanks, Carl! I don't think it's Michael Beck. That actor in the clip doesn't look, or sound (his voice), the way Michael Beck did in the 1977 episode. Members danfling
I realized, after I had posted, that Mr. Beck had played a doctor when the physicians were striking against the Riverside Hospital. I am not sure how to check personal messages.

Click on the option Personal Messenger. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ilene Kristen was interviewed last night (7/10) on The Soap Series blog radio.. Just a little was said about Ryan's Hope in the interview and two things Ilene said surprised me. http://www.blogtalkr...ne-kristen-oltl At approx. 41:55 Ilene said she isn't really sure why she was fired from Ryan's Hope in 1983. Over the years she had previously said it was the weight gain caused by her thyroid problem ( a problem which she said she had already had gained weight by her first OLTL stint). Not sure why she is now saying she doesn't know the reason. At approx. 39:15 This is something I had never heard before and also surprised me - Ilene said after she left Ryan's Hope the first time (late 1978), the show kept calling her agent every 6 months, asking her to come back. I guess Randall Edwards could have been axed at any time if they were always trying to get Ilene to return to the role. I wonder if Randall knew this. Members DRW50
I'm not too sure about them calling every six months. By 1980 or so they started writing Delia in a way which Ilene would have had a much more difficult time playing (befriending Tiso, King Kong, Crystal Palace).
Members safe
Could be that's what Ilene meant. Although by the second six months they were already beginning the Prince Albert story exactly at that time. Ilene said she doesn't know why she didn't accept the offers to come back because she wasn't working.
