I'm hoping that AMC goes up in the ratings. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm hoping for the best for AMC. they been good for the last couple of weeks especially last week.

I don't know what I want. I guess just that soaps which have been making an effort with the fans in terms of story-telling and usage of its cast and vets gets deservedly rewarded with ratings.

i have a question. what's your fascination with ABC? i notice all your postings have to do with bashing ABC. if you hate it so much. why entertain the thought of tuning in? obviously something is keeping you interested..But hey. you can bash AMC/OLTL all you want. my GH video speaks for me. also you mentioned these past weeks being dismal. isn't it sad. when just the acting is dominating right now? as well as the action in just one scene. imagine when the mob war with the zachara's starts. GH will be boosting in ratings.

There are obviously still fans of ABC soaps out there but I am no longer one. I have switched my viewing to shows that seem to care about good storytellng and not retelling the same old mob warstuff over an over again. AMC (Angie and Jessie only) I have been watching on youtube and it has been great.

I am glad you can enjoy. Clearly many fans don't anymore which explains why ABC has taken such a nosedive over the past year especially. I read message board after message board all complaining about the state of GH and the writing yet nothing happens. With ratngs down and fans upset, clearly those who post in disappointment in this show are not alone.

I think frustration stems from what I know was once the best soap on TV. They still have some decent talent but they choose to underutiilize them I think Bob Guza's comments in that entertainment weekly article about Michael being shot almost as justification for him purchasing a gun is absolutely sickenng. As a teacher in a large urban school district where we have had in this city a large number of innocent kids shot and killed this year, it would horrfy me to think that any of these innocentkids were shot because they deserved it. But comments like this from him to me is the center of what is wrong with ABCD. I don't want these soaps off the air or on cable, but I fear ABC will be leading the pack. ANd before someone tells me about GH moving to France, I thought Y&R and B&B have been broadcasting in parts of Europe for sometime, so Brian, your idea is not that revolutionary.

Not that I really have to explain myself and the post today is not a bash but an observation. My "fascination" with ABC is that I have watched all the ABC soaps since I was in the womb. I was raised on them and the characters that I have known all my life are on those soaps. I want the best for them but I don't always get it. I have a right to praise what I like and censure what I don't. That's the nature of the message board.

BUT in response to the rest of your post, SOME of the acting is freaking phenomenal which is a darn good things because for a while now the writing talent hasn't exactly been able to matching up with the acting. I've seen truly great stuff out of Billy Miller, Jacob Young, Darnell Williams, Debbie Morgan, Melissa Claire Egan and Michael E. Knight lately on AMC. I've seen some great stuff out of Laura Wright, Brandon Barash, and Kirsten Storms on GH. I just want the writing to be worthy of the actors, character and the wonderful history of the stories that I love.

The last time I checked, this poster has as much right to bash or praise ABCD as you do to praise or bash it.

Just because someone doesn't agree with your views does not mean you have to start off in this thread being dismissive.

Let's remember to be repsectful...........if you want others to respect your opinion.......respect theirs as well.
