McTavish killed them with the whole sperm switch yes, but their first go around (one of Lorraine Broderick's final stories) was just amazing. For me, at least.

I just never could get into them, probably cause I couldn't stand Liza

Complete opposite of me Liza is one of my all time favourite character, Adam is one of if not my favourite AMC character, so is it any wonder I loved them?

I loved Liza, especially in the 1997/1998 era when it was all about her relationship and the evolution of that. Jennifer Bassey and Marcy Walker had so much chemistry together. The two had some really juicy material then.

I loved Jennifer Bassey (Marian) during that time as well. Remember when Adam threw that party with all of Marian's former lovers in attendance? Just to keep Marian and Stuart apart. It was classic Adam.

I liked David Canary and Marcy Walker together. I think they had terrific chemistry. I always got the feeling, though, from interviews with Walker that she really wanted Michael E. Knight to be her acting partner, and was saddened when their reunion essentially flopped. She came back specifically to work with Knight and revisit Tad and Liza, and they had to reroute Liza toward Adam's direction, but they pretty much kept her in Tad's orbit, though not romantically. I remember shortly after her return in '95, when it was obvious that the fans weren't buying Tad/Liza redux, she made a very Phelpsian comment in one of the rags about the viewers not really knowing what they want...that sometimes you have to give viewers something they want and sometimes you have to give viewers something they didn't realize they wanted, or some claptrap like that. Walker really got a raw deal when Frons came aboard and brought in Rayfield as HW. The abrupt change in Liza's prominence was pretty startling. She went from being a central female character to pretty much an afterthought. Their attempt to make her den mother to the Fusion girls was both silly and cringeworthy (as has been and continues to be anything Fusion-related IMO). I think Beth Chamberlin would make a terrific recast. She's working without a contract at GL, and AMC should really try and snatch her up.

I wish Marcy would come back. She is still looking phenomenal:

Just like the Eden/Liza I loved.

I'd love to have her back too, but what would be in it for her? She'd just wind up playing second to Ambyr Childers and wouldn't have any real story of her own. Frons doesn't see her as sexy, so no storyline for her. Beth Chamberlin, on the other hand, has more sex appeal that Walker IMO, and I could see Frons greenlighting a Liza story with Chamberlin in the role. JMO.

I love how even in this current staff photo, Marcy stands out. She just has such a star quality to her. I hope she finds her way back to Pine Valley, and soon.

She grew her hair out again and looks as beautiful as ever. Thanks for posting that photo.
