Hand Guza and JFP some credit...look how many replies this thread has received! That's what they wanted...buzz. "Love in wartime", and all the associated intense emotion.

He really is, so is Nancy Lee Grahn IMO.

I thought Nancy was doing an okay job, to be honest. It must be hard to try and make it believable when you're going from being the voice of reason over at the hospital to screaming frantically when walking in on a comedic scene. It's a shame that Alexis has been reduced to such a supporting character these days. If Nancy were on DAYS or on a CBS soap she would be one of the leads, rather than the wallpaper she's become over on GH. Maurice, on the other hand, has no excuse for his poor performances. Laura Wright totally ate him alive in their scenes together today and Megan Ward's subtle performance also really showed Maurice up, he was awful. Maybe it's just because I hate Sonny and think he's finally getting what he deserves, but Maurice could have performed a lot better in today's episode.

On a lighter note(if there can be such a thing in a s/l like this).

After her "sweet and sticky" conversation with Coleman-- DIANN HAS MADE A BOOTY CALL YOU GO GIRL!!!

Loved that today. Thank god for Diane. She's the desperately needed break from all this dark depressing mob drama.

I know Alexis and the wittle horror reaction was supposed to be the comic relief for today's epi but I actually got a kick out of some other things as well. Nadine's insta-ankle twist was funny. She looked like she was standing well enough when Nikolas pointed out that she couldn't even stand up. I hope they laughed hard while taping that because it sure was funny. Sonny's hospital harem and the Jason/Carly fans pandering was funny too.

Sonny's not a bad father because he's in the mob and it's full of danger. he's a bad father because he protected Kate over Michael. So Carly should have known he was selfish since well, she is too, and she shouldn't have cheated on Jason with him because then Michael wouldn't be in this condition since Jason would have protected Michael over any woman. Hmmmm poor Morgan. He's doing the best she can to be the best mother she can be is too confused to realize that had she not cheated on Jason with Sonny, then beautiful Morgan wouldn't exist.

I know Patrick was saying something sensible but what difference does it make since the mob isn't a bad thing?

Awww how sweet that Claudia took her guilty conscience to leave Michael a little something. My heart was breaking in two (or three or four) when she told the sad and moving tale of how she'd been a child caught in the mob world as well. Apparently the experience didn't prompt her to find a better way of living for herself. I know, I know, she's trapped, can't get out and it's her destiny. The life chose her. Boo hooo hoooo and triple boo hoo.

Will Kate fight to make Sonny be able to look at her again without seeing that he saved her instead of his son? IDK but I can't wait to find out. When Michael comes back all grown up and ready for college, after he awakens from that coma in several months, things will be fine.

Wishful dialogue on my part from Elizabeth Monday to Jaaaaaasoooon: So you aren't going to quit for me and Jake?

J: No. You can never really leave this business?

E: Can't or won't? What's the difference anyway? You're a lousy father because a good father won't sacrifice a life with his son to stay in the mob. A good father would give up the mob for a life with his son. Anyway, run along and go mope around, conjure up misty eyes a few times, and I'll see you in a few weeks when we decide to fight the danger together for all of six seconds until someone else gets shot and we have to do this all over again. I do love you. Use the back door. The whole world might be out front and see you and conclude that you're really Jake's real and true father.

Laura Wright was absolutely bone-chilling today. When she told Kate to shut her mouth I was blown away. And then when she started blaming herself, oh man I was threw. She so deserves an Emmy. If she's smart she'll submit the scenes from today.

Today was good actually! I saw through the episode without FF! :)

I loved Laura Wright today! She rocks those scenes. Going off at Carly.

LOL @ Alexas walking in and her reaction was soooo funny!

Yes says me and others because it's my Opinion and I stand by it. SJB is the REAL Carly and when she left, they got a an average actress like Tamara who destroyed the role.

really? it had nothing to do with lazy writing by writers who no longer wanted to write complex layerd people and astorylines? no. it couldnt have been that....

I feel nothing for Carly. I wish she would let off from Sonny bc she isnt the only one suffering here. She is right in that she is too blame as well. She is the one that brought Michael into Sonny's mob world and for her to blame him for what happens, she needs to blame herself and Im glad that she is.

What difference does it make if everyone blames themselves and it doesn't result in any kind of change or attempt to change foe the better? The show is not short on heart-wrenching yet empty dialogue. Max is the only one so far that offered up some honest guilt since his only alluded to an on the spot decision and not some major life choice. Diane offered up her contribution of guilt but are they going to make it mean something and have Diane drop Sonny and co. as her clients? Are they going to have Carly acknowledge that Jason is part of the violence that touched her son and cut him off? No. So it's just empty gratification for viewers since business as usual is right around the bend.

If that's what you think, 'sweetie', then it's your opinion and you are entitled to it, just as I am to mine. I'm not saying your opinion is wrong, just that I disagree with it.

I agree, it's hard to watch. What should be really emotionally charged drama surrounding Michael has been sacrificed for the mob war that nobody cares about. We've had one scene with Bobbie and Carly but why isn't Bobbie acknowledging that her daughter knowingly put her son in this danger when she let him become a Corinthos rather than the Quartermaine that he truly is? Why isn't she blasting Sonny for putting Michael in this situation and why isn't she urging Carly to get Morgan the hell away from Port Charles? Why arent we seeing the Quartermaines making Carly squirm about what she's done?

The only thing watchable for me is the Carly/Kate scenes, and Lulu is really ruining them because I have a feeling that in the end Lulu is going to win over Maxie. Again. Despite the fact that Maxie really needs to win this round.

Because there's only three Quartermaines left..

Because there's only three Quartermaines left..

Still, Monica, Edward and Tracy should be coming down on Carly like a ton of bricks. Especially Monica, as Michael is the only thing she has left of AJ.

Tracy doesnt care much so I wouldnt expect her to go off on Carly. Monica is in rehab. Edward is the only one who would be able to say anything but they dont care for the Qs
