I thought Nancy was doing an okay job, to be honest. It must be hard to try and make it believable when you're going from being the voice of reason over at the hospital to screaming frantically when walking in on a comedic scene. It's a shame that Alexis has been reduced to such a supporting character these days. If Nancy were on DAYS or on a CBS soap she would be one of the leads, rather than the wallpaper she's become over on GH. Maurice, on the other hand, has no excuse for his poor performances. Laura Wright totally ate him alive in their scenes together today and Megan Ward's subtle performance also really showed Maurice up, he was awful. Maybe it's just because I hate Sonny and think he's finally getting what he deserves, but Maurice could have performed a lot better in today's episode.

I know Alexis and the wittle horror reaction was supposed to be the comic relief for today's epi but I actually got a kick out of some other things as well. Nadine's insta-ankle twist was funny. She looked like she was standing well enough when Nikolas pointed out that she couldn't even stand up. I hope they laughed hard while taping that because it sure was funny. Sonny's hospital harem and the Jason/Carly fans pandering was funny too.

Sonny's not a bad father because he's in the mob and it's full of danger. he's a bad father because he protected Kate over Michael. So Carly should have known he was selfish since well, she is too, and she shouldn't have cheated on Jason with him because then Michael wouldn't be in this condition since Jason would have protected Michael over any woman. Hmmmm poor Morgan. He's doing the best she can to be the best mother she can be is too confused to realize that had she not cheated on Jason with Sonny, then beautiful Morgan wouldn't exist.

I know Patrick was saying something sensible but what difference does it make since the mob isn't a bad thing?

Awww how sweet that Claudia took her guilty conscience to leave Michael a little something. My heart was breaking in two (or three or four) when she told the sad and moving tale of how she'd been a child caught in the mob world as well. Apparently the experience didn't prompt her to find a better way of living for herself. I know, I know, she's trapped, can't get out and it's her destiny. The life chose her. Boo hooo hoooo and triple boo hoo.

Will Kate fight to make Sonny be able to look at her again without seeing that he saved her instead of his son? IDK but I can't wait to find out. When Michael comes back all grown up and ready for college, after he awakens from that coma in several months, things will be fine.

Wishful dialogue on my part from Elizabeth Monday to Jaaaaaasoooon: So you aren't going to quit for me and Jake?

J: No. You can never really leave this business?

E: Can't or won't? What's the difference anyway? You're a lousy father because a good father won't sacrifice a life with his son to stay in the mob. A good father would give up the mob for a life with his son. Anyway, run along and go mope around, conjure up misty eyes a few times, and I'll see you in a few weeks when we decide to fight the danger together for all of six seconds until someone else gets shot and we have to do this all over again. I do love you. Use the back door. The whole world might be out front and see you and conclude that you're really Jake's real and true father.

I feel nothing for Carly. I wish she would let off from Sonny bc she isnt the only one suffering here. She is right in that she is too blame as well. She is the one that brought Michael into Sonny's mob world and for her to blame him for what happens, she needs to blame herself and Im glad that she is.

What difference does it make if everyone blames themselves and it doesn't result in any kind of change or attempt to change foe the better? The show is not short on heart-wrenching yet empty dialogue. Max is the only one so far that offered up some honest guilt since his only alluded to an on the spot decision and not some major life choice. Diane offered up her contribution of guilt but are they going to make it mean something and have Diane drop Sonny and co. as her clients? Are they going to have Carly acknowledge that Jason is part of the violence that touched her son and cut him off? No. So it's just empty gratification for viewers since business as usual is right around the bend.
