I really did enjoy Jack and Erica today, because they captured what they are all about and complete with flashbacks..... I still want a new direction for Erica, but I am always a sucker for scenes where two storied characters reminisce with each other. Susan Lucci did a wonderful job today playing Erica as the child, the selfish, and the tender soul she is all wrapped into one. I loved it.

I finally had a chance to watch them and they did not disappoint and one of the reasons why is just what you said, Adam, about how the B&E's writing FINALLY captured what they are all about. Their history, their love story; they humorous times yet they still have the magic and know one another so well. I loved that they both wanted to make love but knew if they had, it would have been more difficult for them to say goodbye tomorrow yet she needed to be held and he needed to hold her and that's what I loved the most Why can't the writers write like this every day?

Oh and I was shocked to see her actually take a bite of candy

With Erica in jail however, I worry Jackson will not have any story or airtime It seems the next part of this storyline will be Erica centric with Jack at the sidelines......

They need a new female for Jack.

I am glad I haven't watched this how in ages. B&E have no CLUE how to write this or any other show. My only other show is General Hospital, which I haven't watched in ages as well... I think I might give up on soaps altogether.

I'm sad to say that I may be joining Rsinclair. But on my part its more about me entering the job force because I will be graduating in May. I have noticed that I have decreased my tv watching time down by like 60% or more in the past two years and find myself not really that interested in watching primetime and soaps anymore due to internships etc. Of course their are shows that I do watch which are listed below, but thats pretty much it along with maybe 2 or 3 other shows is my tv time. As you know I watch for erica but I haven't been happy with any of her storylines in the past 8 years, she had some good moments with her kids but overall her storylines have sucked. If this new storyline doesn't pan out for erica I think I'm a goner. I really like jesse/angie but I find myself being disconnected from there storyline because I wasn't watching amc back then, but loved their reunion.

I didn't mind the R/K scenes because...

a. Ryan actually seemed to kind of get it today - he was trying to flirt but there was a kind of "I get it"/dejected feel about it all. There was a toning down of the hopeless stalker feel to him. Progression of story? Maybe.

b. It was a made up memory but it captured one of the essences of why the two broke up back then and without the usual heavy Ryan was just great, it's Kendall's fault spin.

Tomorrow looks really good. Krystal/Stuart, Tad/Rob, Angie/Jesse maybe a no Kendall/Zach/Greenlee/Annie/Ryan/Adian day?

Those 6 characters and their storylines right now are pure crap. I don't care at all about JR/Babe/Ritchie either. I haven't been this uninterested in AMC in a LONG time. It's pretty sad!

Just about ALL the storylines on the show are crap, it's not exclusive to any certain characters. Even Jesse & Angie are stuck in a boring storyline that could be crappy.
