It Ryan

Well we might as well just call Ryan "it" right now because "it" is now getting some fillers from Kendall about what a douchebag he was with both Kendall and Greenlee. Yep Kendall told him today that he did, indeed, bring Greenlee along and straddle her to his hip along with attempting to do it with Kendall that he made it out so that he had to have both of the women in his life, love them, and pit them together all in an attempt to try and make himself out to be this ladies' man. It hopefully is now coming back to "it" about what a loser he was with playing with both women's emotions, which is something only a true idiot would actually do. Since Ryan qualifies as a true idiot (one thing twhere he is true, not as usual a fake), this is all true. It is as if we are saying "Oh I see said the blind man as he pissed on the fire. Time to lighten up." Now let's see how many more memories come back to his holiness about how he was a horrific person to both Kendall and Greenlee, putting these two friends against one another, all so they could have a Dynamite Kiddo whack whack. Who really cares about going after him? He is not a man to fight over, ladies. But that is all said and done but, to Ryan, it is as if it never happened because he cannot remember. If only his return to HIGH HO Valley actually never took place so there would be no bug eyes, barf inducing scenes, gag worthy lovey dovey scenes with the Green Butterfly, and lord knows everything else painful with a Super Duper Idiot Stupor Ryan. I just wonder what the next memory is for Ryan. That he has a millimeter peter. Or perhaps he will recall being stuck between a horny toad and a spanky monkey who would love to get a look at spanking Ryan's monkey. Yep it would be like being stuck between a rocky horror picture show and a hard on place. The memories are starting to come back to Ryan on his loserific life, filled with bug eyes, pontificating, arm flailing, and pretty much everything else disgusting that is worthy of an ick factor.

LOL Erica

I love her. She asks Jack if she packed too many clothes for prison. Leave it to Erica to prepare for a stint behind bars. That is my woman. This is going to be an interesting storyline. I cannot wait!

I find it both sad and pathetic that B&E would have to MAKE UP history for anyone. There are truly NO words, LMAO

KWAK: STFU bitch! ugh. I wish Adam would kick her and Tad's asses. Gotta love how Adam was too dangerous for Jenny & KWAK to be around, but who do they come too when they need help: Adam *snort*:rolleyes:

Greenlee what is she 2? Wait scratch that, I know two year olds that aren't as childish as she was today.

I HATED Adam apologizing to KWAK, ugh

Jerica: zzzzzzzzz

Today was just blah

Ryan/Kendall need to end. Those scenes were pointless. Its a repeat...."I love you Kendall" Get a life Ryan!!!!!

Tomorrow looks really good. Krystal/Stuart, Tad/Rob, Angie/Jesse maybe a no Kendall/Zach/Greenlee/Annie/Ryan/Adian day?

Today was so boring and I don't think it's B&E waiting for their team to get back. Loving was boring under them (yes the murder mystery was pretty good but the show was still boring), The City was horribly boring for the first year, it's just the way they are.

And did anyone else notice the shakey cam in the previews tomorrow? They've used it here and there lately and it hasn't been bad but the Krystal/Stuart previews looked really bad like it was in 2006.

I haven't had a chance to watch yet but just seeing the feedback about my Jerica today I can't wait. :P Flashbacks of their romance, including "Corrine in Paris":wub: . Her telling him how much she loves him and he was the most fun out of all her husbands  . They had such a great time together and they were/are HOT to boot. Too bad these idiot , uncreative writers, make them play teenage romance games now when they should be the core couple of this show. I still hold out my hope that this will happen . In the meantime I can watch stuff like this all the time.

Maybe Sugar's boyfriend has something to do with erica somehow getting a pardon or something like that. Aiden, jack and ryan ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Poor Lish and susan having to prop up those boring ass men.

Tad and Krystal ahve some nerve! After all the crap they've pulled with Adam, they have the nerve to show up in HIS house, make demands and then give an atittude when he doesnt jump when they say so? WTF do they even have to go to him? The people after Jesse have already seen them and if they want to get to them, they will.

Why hasnt anyone considered the fact that Erica is drinking again or on drugs? I think someone slipped something into her tea. This is the only way to explain why she has me going WTF! everytime I see her now.

Ryan and Kendall's scenes = Absolutely Useless

Greenlee hugging Annie and saying "Thanks for being a good friend" I cant accept this "friendship" I know its the REAL Greenlee now but she was so nasty to her before and just last week she was kissing her husband and getting jealous over Annie/Ryan. Annie dont trust her! She'll stab you in the back without batting an eyelash. I can accept them being civil for the sake of business but I dont want to see Annie all nice and BFF with her

Why are the Fusion girls always trying to come up with formulas themselves? Dont they have chemists? Last time I checked, none of them had a chemistry degree. I doubt they can even write a chemical equation. Its really sad how their "lab" consists of two tables put together in the middle of their offices. B&B and Y&R put it to shame with their fragrance and cosmetic labs. It was somewhat acceptable when it first happened when they were creating Fusion in the condo, but they have this big company with offices on both coasts, yet their cosmetic lab is run by themselves in the middle of the office? Where are the scientists? They can fake the business stuff but you need degrees and some type of real education to figure out how chemicals and stuff come together. You dont just throw a bunch of flavors in a pot and hope to come up with something

Jack/Erica were fantastic! Their scenes had the perfect combination of humor and pathos. It felt like the people who have been writing for Jesse/Angie, who weren't on today, wrote the Jack/Erica scenes.

Adam goading Tad was funny but then devolved into stupidity. How dare Tad & Krystal demand that Adam take her in!

Kendall completely whitewashed her breakup with Ryan. I wish she had told him how devastated she was that he put Greenlee's friendship ahead of her and then he & Greenlee gloated that they owned her. This amnesia story just needs to end.

WORD Cheap, ITA with you about ThadeASS and Krusty. They do have alot of nerve, ugh <_<

If Adam had done that, Tad would be spouting for months how Adam broke into his house

I guess it's because Greenlee said they would have to pay a chemist by the hour, plus she couldn't throw her temper tantrum

:D

I actually didn't mind today's show. Adam goading Tad was hilarious and it is nice to once see Adam with the upper hand. Yes he apologized to Krystal and I am looking past that because its a writer's agenda at work, but you know.... Adam and Krystal still possess fire together and make Tad and KWAK that much more of a joke.

I really did enjoy Jack and Erica today, because they captured what they are all about and complete with flashbacks..... I still want a new direction for Erica, but I am always a sucker for scenes where two storied characters reminisce with each other. Susan Lucci did a wonderful job today playing Erica as the child, the selfish, and the tender soul she is all wrapped into one. I loved it.

The Fusion as usual was pointless but Rebecca Budig was on fire today. Greenlee going on her tantrum was classic for the character..... Go Becky :)

Ryan and Kendall..... no comment? Who thought it would be a good idea to revisit that disaster?

    • Here's the place to share some memorable criticism. You don't have to agree with it, of course (that's often where the fun starts). Like I mentioned to @DRW50, Sally Field was a favorite punching bag in the late '80s and early '90s.   Punchline (the 1988 movie where she and Tom Hanks are stand ups): "It's impossible to tell the difference between Miss Field's routines that are supposed to be awful, and the awful ones that are supposed to be funny." -- Vincent Canby, New York Times. "It's not merely that Field is miscast; she's miscast in a role that leaves no other resource available to her except her lovability. And (David) Seltzer's script forces her to peddle it shamelessly." -- Hal Hinson, Washington Post. "As a woman who can't tell a joke, Sally Field is certainly convincing. ... Field has become an unendurable performer ... She seems to be begging the audience not to punch her. Which, of course, is the worst kind of bullying from an actor. ... She's certainly nothing like the great housewife-comedian Roseanne Barr, who is a tough, uninhibited performer. Sally Field's pandering kind of 'heart' couldn't be further from the spirit of comedy." -- David Denby, New York   Steel Magnolias: The leading ladies: Dolly Parton: "She is one of the sunniest and most natural of actresses," Roger Ebert wrote. Imagining that she probably saw Truvy as an against-type role, Hinson concluded it's still well within her wheelhouse. "She's just wearing fewer rhinestones." Sally Field: "Field, as always, is a lead ball in the middle of the movie," according to Denby . M'Lynn giving her kidney to Shelby brought out David's bitchy side. "I can think of a lot more Sally Field organs that could be sacrificed." Shirley MacLaine: "(She) attacks her part with the ferociousness of a pit bull," Hinson wrote. "The performance is so manic that you think she must be taking off-camera slugs of Jolt." (I agree. If there was anyone playing to the cheap seats in this movie, it's Shirley.) Olympia Dukakis: "Excruciating, sitting on her southern accent as if each obvious sarcasm was dazzlingly witty," Denby wrote. Daryl Hannah: "Miss Hannah's performance is difficult to judge," according to Canby, which seems to suggest he took a genuine "if you can't say something nice ..." approach. Julia Roberts: "(She acts) with the kind of mega-intensity the camera cannot always absorb," Canby wrote. That comment is so fascinating in light of the nearly 40 years Julia has spent as a Movie Star. She is big. It's the audience who had to play catch up. And on that drag-ish note ... The movie itself: "You feel as if you have been airlifted onto some horrible planet of female impersonators," Hinson wrote. Canby: "Is one supposed to laugh at these women, or with them? It's difficult to tell." Every review I read acknowledged the less than naturalistic dialogue in ways both complimentary (Ebert loved the way the women talked) and cutting (Harling wrote too much exposition, repeating himself like a teenager telling a story, Denby wrote). Harling wrote with sincerity and passion, Canby acknowledged, but it's still a work of "bitchiness and greeting card truisms." The ending was less likely to inspire feeling good as it was feeling relieved, according to Denby. "(It's) as if a group of overbearing, self-absorbed, but impeccable mediocre people at last exit from the house."
    • I tend to have two minds about Tawny (Kathy Najimy) fainting during Soapdish's big reveal. You're the costume designer, if anything, you should have known the whole time. I guess it's an application of what TV Tropes calls the "Rule of Funny." Every time I watch Delirious, I always want the genuine romance in John and Mariel's reunion at the deli counter to last longer. Film critics had their knives out for Sally in this period. I'll start a separate thread on the movies page.
    • I don't think so, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was Dumas this whole time.
    • Tamara Tunie was serving up grand dame diva fierceness.
    • Nick told Victoria that he and Sharon had married in England.  Victoria was shocked.  Then she realized he was kidding.  He confirmed it was a joke and they're platonic. I don't even know what to say about that.
    • It's funny you say that because part of the entertainment of the trials on the show are all the day players who come on as witnesses and jurors.  I'm certain it was like the Law and Order of its time. It employed so many New York actors, that if you look close enough, there's usually someone vaguely recognizable in the courtroom.
    • I will defend Dante.  People already suspect he may be a bit unstable from time to time (from his time as a prisoner).  And, he's taking care of other people's kids from time to time.  So, he has reason to be cautious with those in his care.
    • Josh continues to try and milk Abbott/Newman rivalry. First it was Billy/Victoria, then Kyle/Summer, then Noah/Allie (that worked out well) and now Kyle/Claire. Do we have any inkling when Billy Flynn will arrive and who he will play? I'm sure Cole's illness will mostly play offscreen. What's in store for Nick and Sharon? Is it time to put them back together? I can't see any other romantic options. Nick has no children on the canvas to play off, as Christian is never seen. Sharon has only Mariah onscreen.
    • I would appreciate (if they're not coming), for future scripts to refer to them by their iconic hairdos.  For example, if Hope needs to call Chelsea because Bo has Sepsis, I'd like Shawn-D to say, "My Mom called Chelsea (the one with the sassy short black hair) for an update." Also, new rule, if Melanie does return, she needs to dye her hair back to red.  I googled who she was five times during Victor's funeral.

    • Broderick, thank you for all of the info [I edited for space]. I am so grateful for everyone filling in the blanks for me. I suspected the Nora/Eliot scene was very important and it was setting something up but I didn't know what. Can't wait to see it play out. The two actors had such a great back and forth. I should have made the Paige/Patty Hearst connection. I thought Paige was in love with Brian from the first episode I watched but it seemed as if they were brother and sister. Steve kept being affectionate with her so I assumed he was the love interest. Then she was affectionate with someone else and well..she's a very busy woman. I can't wait to see Frances Fisher show up. (I'm trying to be vague because I don't know what would be a spoiler in this storyline) Now it makes sense why Draper would be upset. I didn't get the whole background of why he didn't go to NY. I'm a sucker for good acting, so I might still side with April and Margo, if the writers don't give Draper more to do besides yelling.  He had more chemistry with Logan, but I know that's not happening.  Something else I noticed: the show really takes care with even the smallest parts. The acting is superb. Too often, I noticed on older soaps they don't take care with the recurring or day players (Ryan's Hope was so bad with this that I couldn't make it through some episodes). It's only been six episodes, but so far, the casting department was spot on.
