I like the current one, but most of the character pics are out of date, they badly need new ones

I dont think that the new bumpers mean a new opening for all the soaps. I think the bumper shots are just that, bumper shots.

I don't think they're for a new opening either. It's all just rumors.

The bumpers on Soapnet are strictly for Soapnet, nothing more.

I dont want AMC to change their opening, just maybe divide it into two versions so that it goes by slower, and update a few dated shots. I like that opening so would like it to stay around. If ABC wanted to change OLTL and GH's, however, I certainly wouldnt complain...

AMC's opening is definitely the strongest of the bunch. The only change I think they need to make is to emphasise the photo aspect more. They've gotten lazier as time has gone on and large portions seem to be bumper shots just strung together.

OLTL and GH are both appalling. They need a complete overhaul and individuality.

AMC has always had great openings. The yellow one before this was by far my favorite. Id love it if they went to an updated version of that

ITA. I was shocked to see that there is only one floating pic, there used to be an entire section. Despite all of that, AMC is the only soap that stayed true to their previous opening. OLTL's is forgettable and GH's is just horrible.

So if D/D taped their openings today when does it air? I still think it was curious they took this long to add them. I could care less if if they simply replaced RB picture with SS. That's a convenient excuse. If Rebeca Budig was on the show for over a month they would have given her an opening almost instantly.

You are welcome but no I didn't hear anything about a new opening or a date yet. Usually once they photograph/tape them they air soon after so possibly next week some time

OLTL and GH got new bumper shots for ABC back in January. AMC is still using the old ones. Over on GH Sarah Brown hasn't been added in as far as I know either. That is why I tend to perfer that DAYS stay with their non-image opening because it can take forever for someone to be added or taken out.

I hate Days of Our Live's opening.

It's so boring.

Even Passions at least had a catchy song to it.

I personally just love openings with the cast in them.

There is always something to talk about.

Who's been/needs added, who's been/needs taken out,

Who looks good, who looks a mess...

I just love it.

There can be endless pages with people's thoughts about them.

Who doesn't love a good diva shot like Sunset's Olivia or AMC's Erica?

Or the I'm-a-bad-ass-don't-[!@#$%^&*]-with-me shot like AMC's Janet

and Adam.

Sunset Beach and GH had dogs in their openings.

GH's Carly#2's boobs even had their own shot!

That all just fun.

It's probably a pain to update some of them.

Some are even hard to change like Another Worlds' last opening.

(Remember Sofia being spun around by nobody after Nick left?)

And AMC's god awful additions to the scrape book version.

But when it's done right it's well worth it.
